The road from Highgarden to Kings Landing was a long one but after days on horseback the Tyrells finally arrived in the city. Alester never minded the capital other than the stench that burned one's nostrils. It was filled with honest folk living day to day and the occasional corrupt noble. His family was of course staying in the red keep being a high-ranking noble had its privileges. He was barely settled in before going on the search for the princess. The halls were filled with many court officials and nobles from all over Westeros, so he walked quickly returning nods and greetings as not to get bogged down in conversation. Upon arriving at his future wife's door, he knocked softly.

Knock knock knock....

Myrcella: "Yes."

She spoke in a near whisper tone. She knew who it might be and though they had known each other for years this was their first meeting since the knowledge of their marriage came to light.

He swung the door open before slipping in. Of course, she was perfectly beautiful as always and the young man was thankful that's all she inherited from her mother. He chose his words carefully to not seem ignorant.

Alester: "My lady."

Myrcella: "We're back to my lady now huh. Please Alester we've known one another long enough to drop the formalities."

He picked up his heavy feet and moved closer to her yet still staying a few feet away.

Alester: "Being friends with a princess is quite different then marrying one I'd say."

She gave him a curious look.

Myrcella: "Then you're against marrying me?"

He was amazed that she could think such a thing. He blurted out.

Alester: "N-no of course not. I just was concerned you felt forced into this. It not like we've been given a choice after all"

Myrcella then walked straight to him without breaking eye contact she stopped so close their chests touched and they felt each other's warm breath.

Myrcella: "Since I could remember I've always been terrified of being married off to some fat old lord or some arrogant nobleman. It was truly my greatest fear but instead I get to marry the future lord of Highgarden who is handsome, noble, just and brave. I have felt love for that same man since I first laid eyes on him and now, I get to call him mine. So, no I don't feel forced I feel lucky and more importantly I feel happy."

He couldn't fight the smile on his face at the admittance of her feelings.

Alester: "The love I feel for you is matched then. I now know that the Reach will prosper under us my lady."

The happiness in both of them was overflowing as they stood there staring at one another in complete love.

Myrcella: "Didn't I tell you not to call me my lady when it's just us."

Alester: "Yes but now I can put emphasis on the My."

She couldn't help but giggle with the thought of her being his and him being hers.

Myrcella: "Well my love you should get out of here before my parents see you, they may enjoy your company, but they won't like the thought of us being together before our wedding day."

He hated the idea of leaving her after confessing to one another but knew she was right as her father could be rather unpredictable and he wished to stay in the good graces of the King.

Alester: "True, I will come escort you to the tournament tomorrow my lady."

He placed a chaste kiss on her cheek before leaving her room.

The green-eyed Tyrell found his feet carrying him to the tower of the hand. Not bothering knocking he quietly entered catching the Stark off guard.

Alester: "You're quite a way's from home aren't you lord Stark."

The older man looked up after hearing the voice he instantly recognized as his former ward. Rising from his seat he stepped over to the young man before hugging him.

Ned: "It's good to see a friendly face."

Alester: "Likewise it has been some time since are last meeting. Congratulations are in order."

Ned: "I could say the same thing after all getting married is a large step in life."

Alester: "Thank you Ned. I can only hope that our love endures as yours and lady starks has. How are all the Starks by the way?"

Ned: "There good you'll be seeing Sansa an Arya soon about somewhere."

Alester: "I look forward to it. Not there bickering though."

Ned:".....Hmmm."

Sensing something bothering his old Guardian he probed for the problem.

Alester: "You look rather anxious about something."

Ned: "Sansa has been betrothed to Joffrey."

The Tyrell got a sick feeling at lord starks words.

Alester: "I'm sorry Ned."

He gave the young man a half smile.

Ned: "Me too."

Alester: "Well I won't keep you from your work any longer. I suppose I'll see you at the tournament?"

Ned: "Of course."

After finishing their goodbyes, Alester finally made it to his room for his stay. It took but moments for him to collapse on his bed do to the difficulty of his journey pushing him to exhaustion.
