Waffles or Pancakes?

This is old but I didn't want to throw it away 😔

Tom is sitting alone outside. He had just told off Edd over an argument about which is better: Waffles or Pancakes?

*Flashback*

"Pancakes are better!" Exclaims Edd.
"No waffles!" Yells back Tom.

"I like both." Says Matt, stuffed with food.
They don't say anything but they both glare at Matt as if to say, 'shut up'.
Matt seems to have gotten the message,
"Awww :("

"Why do you even like waffles, they're so plain."
"Uh- no they're not, and pancakes are wayyyyy overrated anyways," Tom rolls his eyes, crossing his arms.

"They're 'overrated' because they actually good!" Edd can feel his face start to heat up but not as much as how red Tom already was.

"So are waffles! Pancakes just happen to get more attention!"
"Nuh uh, it would have gotten the same amount of attention if it were just as good as pancakes. But it couldn't compete!" Edd sticks out his tongue, smirking.

Tom glares at Edd, he hated how he could just act dumb then out smart him out of nowhere. And yet, he's still no use in adventures.

"You know what Edd, screw you and your dumb little opinion about pancakes!" Tom storms out the door. From behind, Edd calls,
"You're only saying that because you couldn't win the argument! Boo hoo!" He laughs, teasingly.

Ugh! What does he know about pancakes anyways? I hate to admit it but yeah, they're good. But waffles are still better! They just are!

*Flashback Ends*

Tom gets up from the porch.
He's only been there for 30 minutes, but for him, it felt like 30 hours.
If he stays there any longer with the loud noises of kids laughing or the gossiping from old ladies, he will lose his mind.

*Sigh*
I hope it isn't awkward when I get back there, that's the least thing I would want right now.

Tom opens the door to the house.
"Tom!" Greets Edd, "You're back already? I honestly thought you would be out there longer."

"You're not.. mad?" He asks confused. He doesn't understand how people can change their mood so quickly. Bipolar much.

"Hmm, no, why would I be mad?
Wait.. ohhh yeah, the argument!
Still not mad."
"But-
You-
I-" Tom doesn't have the words to explain it so all he could do is stutter.

"Well to be fair," starts Edd again, "the whole argument was over something stupid, so there honestly shouldn't be any hard feelings...
Wait don't tell me you actually got hurt by that-Hahahaha!"
"Ugh-, no!
Whatever, I'm going to my room." Although still irritated, Tom finally gets over it.

"Wait! Care to join me for dinner?"
Edd sets down two plates of both waffles and pancakes on the table along with other dishes.

Surprised, Tom looks at Edd. "You did all this?"

"Yup! It's easy to do but it just takes a longggg time." Edd exaggerates, swiping a sweat off his forehead that was never there to begin with.

...

Tom sits on a chair and waits for the others. (Almost, he already sneaked one in his mouth by accident).

"Matttttt!" Edd calls out loud.
"Yesss? I'm kinda busy right now, can we talk later?" Responds Matt; Edd ignores his suggestion.
"Do you want food or not?"
"OOO FOOD!" He yells from his room. It's funny how easily convinced he can become.
He runs up to them, almost tripping on the floor while the other two giggle, holding their laugh.

Tom sees a mirror on Matt's hand. He was right. He was too 'busy' looking at himself with his 100+ mirror collection.

He can't blame him. Matt is good looking.
But not as good looking as me, thought Tom, smirking to himself.

The three ate "dinner" and had a blast laughing to each other's jokes.
