The delinquents stared fascinated at the lottery box as the spokesman stepped onto the podium, making loud almost obnoxious stomps. Every year six delinquents are chosen in a raffle system to attend a highly prestigious school, Floral Gates where they can receive an education and work their way up the ranks. Only six are chosen because it's enough to give some delinquents a little hope that they don't live a life full of scavenging for scraps and barely getting by. Most delinquents end up working small jobs like a bakery or a bookstore or farmers' markets. Of course, some delinquents want a simple life like this but Scorpio, Gemini, Sagittarius, Taurus, Aquarius, and Capricorn want much more. Most delinquents give up on this dream of more by the time they reach twenty but the zodiacs had hope.
"If you hear your name come up with your ID!" The spokesman loudly announced. Gemini breathed heavily and started shaking as Aquarius put her hand on his shoulder to calm him down. "Taurus Moore!" Taurus almost jumped out of his chair. He has never expected him out of thousands of people to be chosen. Taurus had already been self-educating himself but this was his chance to get a higher education and a promising future. He swiftly walked up and started a line behind the stairs. "Scorpio Rustle!" Scorpio wasn't too shocked she was chosen. Scorpio's parents were more on the wealthy side of the delinquents, they entered her name about a hundred times in the lottery. Scorpio walked humbly and got behind Taurus in the line. "Gemini and Aquarius Scarus!" Gemini hyperventilated with joy and Aquarius let out a small smile. Gemini was thrilled he was getting to go to the same school as his best friend Leo. Leo did pull a few strings around with the lottery system so Gemini would have a higher chance of going but only she knew that, it's not like it hurt anybody if they knew she had. Gemini and Aquarius walked slowly to the podium and got in line behind Scorpio. "Capricorn Ross!" Capricorn was startled, to say the least. He glared at his half-sister Cancer who was behind the podium in a carriage watching. She grinned at him, showing her sharp fangs off. Scorpio grunted when she heard his name, she absolutely despises him and now when she thought she could get away he was going to school too. Capricorn dragged his feet entering the line. "Sagittarius Lee!" His eyes almost popped out of their sockets. Of course, he was elated to go to the school but more excited to finally see his crush Pisces in person. He has only heard things about her and seen her in the newspaper but he's already fallen head over heels for her. He speed walked to the podium and stood behind Capricorn.
"Capricorn! I'm so glad we both got in!" Sagittarius exclaimed to his best friend in front of him. Capricorn was so wrapped up in his feelings he hadn't even noticed Sagittarius got in as well. "Yeah, me too." He said calmly. "That's it! Thank you all for entering, if you didn't get in try again next year!" The spokesman announced. The six delinquents were finally getting the chance of a lifetime that they waited for years.
