After the move i have been so weird and sad. everyone at school looks at me like I'm weird . i moved from miami the thug part to a FUCKING rich , white poeple town . i get dressed and go to school . i am 5'3 and tan but a dark tan . here evreyone is either white or whiteish tan . so i definetly stick out. this is my second week at sydney creek middle school and i couldn't have hated it worse . the bathrooms have white shinning toilets and well dressed students. here evreyone shopped at aerocrombie or forever 21. i only shop at ross or something. when the bell rings , i take a few deep breaths and walk to my 1st period . i have reading and i hated this subject ( i basically hated school) . i have mrs.pratt as a teacher and she is sweet and nice. mrs.pratt says "welcome to reading class everyone i want you to go ahead and go on edmodo" . the worst part about this school is that ereything is digital . this means that i have to use a stupid iPad the whole day . i open edmodo waiting for other instructions . but then i notice this guy sitting next to me he says "my name is joel ". i say " my name is lisa "

jole : so where did you live before

me : oh um miami

jole :not that far

me: i miss it so much

jole:well at least here in orlando you have universal and disney , wet and wild and stuff

thinking to myself that i would never NEVER go to any of those parks . they sound boring but i just agree and go on with the conversation.

me: yeah

jole : so what part of miami where you from?

me: liberty city

we end up talking almost all the period about miami until he asked me this very question that still haunts me till today

jole: so do you smoke ?

me : umm do you smoke

jole: yeah weed and hookah

me : oh i smoked weed before but not hookah

me : so where are you from ??

i know what he is going to say . he's going to say he was born here and that he has lived here his whole life .

jole : im colombian

me : really?? you don't look colombian at all .

after that the bell rings and i say bye to jole .
