Me? My name? Austen. My story? No. That you need to find yourself. I can't tell you, it might hurt you. All I know, all I can know, is small. A small portion of the whole story. What I can tell you must not be repeated. First, you need to know that I am Prince Austen of this Fallen Kingdom. Its name I cannot reveal. Would you? A kingdom fallen from war. The Great War.

As the ashes move and the carnage lay still, the blood stained blades were sharp with fear. Arms and elbows of war shine bright with the sweat of the soldiers. These few survivors would live on to tell their story of bravery and protection. In the bays of the Fallen Kingdom lay the destruction of its own defeat. Revolts of the subjects broke loose once word got out of a startling sight. So far north, no one would've thought that once a thriving kingdom would be overthrown by these creatures of terror. It stuns me to even say what they are.

These creatures started to spawn before the Great War. A chunk of earth was chipped out into the void of space by a giant meteor, striking life as we knew it. The meteor sparked the war; great being ironic because it wasn't great at all. What the meteor brought with it from space is what we feared most. The Great War was brought by these creatures. Dare to say their names? My own power stolen by one of them. What I cannot believe is the magical qualities of darkness this one species has brought onto us. The Fallen Kingdom didn't have this name before the war; it was the Kingdom of Siriol. As you may have guessed, the Great War was named this way to avoid speaking of the deadly creatures. I guess it's safe to tell you what these creatures were. Obsidian hearts filled with pure evil, ebony skinned thick across the bodies, and Enicrons were not to be messed with. I guess you could call them evil unicorns. That's what my little sister did. She was terrified of them, but who wasn't? Princess Aubin was only eight years old when the Great War struck. I was only sixteen, not fit to rule. I looked out for her, protected her from the evil unicorns, slayed each and every one that I could. But, one took my sword and slayed her. It's most likely the worst feeling in the whole world, or what's left of it. Her glistening blonde hair was stained by her own blood. I still keep her old clothes she died in, call me insane. Once I saw her laying there, my hazel eyes turned to black, my blonde hair stained as well. She was pretty much imploded by that creature.

Before the Great War, the Kingdom of Siriol thrived with trading and merchants, beautiful landscape with trees and hills with the greenest grass you have ever seen, and the nicest humanoids to walk earth. What's left of it at least. Everywhere you looked was beautiful. The trees, hills flowers, even the blades of grass were perfect. It was like living in a fairytale. Was. Now, it's a wasteland. Battered walls crumble to the floor with every step you take. The Kingdom of Siriol was my life. The Kingdom of Siriol was my home.

Even Wren, she was killed. Her deep brown eyes slowly turned black. I guess you could say she was my girlfriend, but I was going to propose to her. I loved her that much; I still do. Her life and so many others were taken, snatched, stolen from their original owners. Enicrons shift the souls into their power source. The more souls that are stolen, the more powerful one becomes. Wren studied them in her school. She was a peasant, but I loved her anyways. Just because I'm labeled as Prince Austen doesn't mean I have to love a princess, I wanted Wren to be mine. She always went over the top to impress me, thinking I would leave her for royalty. I don't think Wren understood how I felt, unless she felt the same way. She was the only humanoid I could ever love. She was killed the same way as Princess Aubin was. Her soul ripped from inside, splattering blood all over her dress. I remember which one it was. Long, to the floor, with sky blue sleeves accenting the cream colored bodice. It was her favorite. I could see her long brunette curls splashed with blood, in the exact pattern that had fallen onto my sister. The umber that lies on the grounds of the castle reminds me of what happened on that day.

All of this has brought me down. A seventeen year old, forced to find a new life. Everything burned, damaged, gone. No longer a prince, no family to love, no life to be lived. Austen of Siriol is how I am known in my new village, Harlem Town. The survivors and I have been living in this little town, but you can't really call it living if your whole life was stripped from beneath you. It has been one year exactly from the Enicron Siriol War. Enicron's finally had their victory, but if they ever came to Harlem, all hope would be sucked out of me, just like my soul. The memories of Wren and Aubin control my actions. There's nothing I can do to feel slight happiness, even if Wren would want that for me. Only one thought prevails to get through Wren and Aubin: The Fallen Kingdom.
