He had just about enough of this

Ever since he left his mother and old life as a slave behind in order to become a Jedi knight, The Jedi Council has done nothing but constantly demean and shun him because he did not completely follow their dogmatic ideals and yet they still have him around since he was the chosen one according to their prophesy.

If a Jedi decides to leave the order, they really don't have anywhere else to go since they are stripped from their parents when they were infants when they became part of the order and they're not even allowed to contact them because of their no attachments rule. but if they did leave, they're more than likely to become homeless unless they have a rich background to fall back on like the former Jedi-turned-Sepratist leader, Count Dooku.

The reason why he's still in the order is because he has to help out The Republic fight against the Confederacy of Independent Systems during The Clone Wars as a Jedi General like so many others in the order like his master and the closest person that he has to a father figure, Obi Wan Kenobi. He figured that after the war is over, he can leave the order to live with his secret wife, Padme since she was considering to retire from the Galactic Senate as well.

But then this happened

The Jedi Temple has been bombed by a rouge Jedi and framed his padawan, Ahsoka for the attack. As a result, she was expelled from the Jedi Order and then was sent to the Republic Military Courts to stand trial for it. Desperate to find the truth behind the bombing and save his padawan, he discovers the actual corprait and then brings them up to the court just when her verdict is about to ran out.

The speech that the route Jedi have said about the Jedi Order had struck a chord with him and Ahsoka even though he'd felt that the order have already been fallen into corruption long before The Clone Wars have even started and yet the council has the audacity to offer his padawan to come back to the order despite previously accusing her for being guilty through and through in their trial.

So they decided to leave The Jedi Order

Since Ahsoka doesn't have any belongings aside from her lightsabers because of the rule that they should not have any belongings aside from their lightsaber and padawan braid, He has to pack by himself while his padawan is waiting for him since he does have his own stuff in spite of the rule like with his tools and models for example.

"Anakin?" Ahsoka said to him while he was packing "Where should we stay? Like I'm not exactly sure where a Jedi decides to go when they leave this order"
"We'll go to Padme's apartment, I'm sure she'll understands our predicament" He said when finished packing up his bag and zipped it.

I'm ready to go now

As they're outside the temple, Anakin puts his bag in the starfreighter that he and Ashoka shared but Artoo is already in the droid pit of the ship and then proceeds to help her get on it before          going into the main cockpit. Ashoka asked her master quietly
 "Aren't you gonna tell Obi Wan that we're leaving The Jedi Order?"

Anakin said nothing as he gets the starfreighter going but then whispers
 "He doesn't have to know that Snips"

Anakin and Ashoka are Jedi no more

They made it to Padme's apartment rather quickly since it's not too far from the Jedi Temple and landed their starfreighter in the ship parking area. Anakin gets Ahsoka and Artoo out of the ship and then gets his bag afterwards. As they walked into the apartment, Padme saw them and then came up to Anakin and pulled him in a loving embrace with Ahsoka and Artoo watching them.

"Ani, what happened and why did you bring Ahsoka with you?" she said with concern "I've heard about the bombing at the temple via the holonet news and that-" "I have found the corpait behind it and bring them to justice" Anakin replied "But there's something else I wanted to tell you about me and my padawan's situation now"

"Really?" she respond and then she was lifted by Anakin and he said "Let's go to the sitting room to talk about this since it's gonna be a long one" As they along with Ahsoka go to the sitting room

Anakin and Ahsoka then proceed to explain to Padme about the aftermath of the bombing and that they left the Jedi Order and that Ahsoka needed to stay here since she had nowhere to go but Anakin at least had Padme to fall back on.

Padme then tells Ahsoka that there's a guest bedroom at her apartment that she can stay in and that she'll tell her tailor to make a wardrobe for her along with Anakin.

"Ani, I am very sorry about what happened to you and Ahsoka" she said as they're going to bed in their shared bedroom, "You said that you always wanted to be a Jedi knight since when you're still a slave" Anakin then responds as they're about to go to sleep

"To tell you the truth, I planned to leave the Jedi Order after the war is over so I can live with you"

-a few months later-

Anakin and Ahsoka have quickly adjusted to their new life with Padme.
they went with her when she has senate meetings and parties to attend to while also having activities of their own while they stay at her apartment They also get new wardrobes to replace their old Jedi robes and Anakin actually consulted Padme's tailor to put in elements of his culture on Tatooine into his clothes while Ahsoka does the same but with her own culture on her homeplanet as well

While Anakin and Ahsoka went out to go to an entertainment area, Padme has gotten a necklace which is gold but also has rare Tatooine jewels in it that she plans to give to Anakin when they came back as a reminder to back when they first met all those years ago
