A/N: This is a long but heavy chapter so just be aware of that, there is no smut in this chapter, I know, I'm sorry...I will make it up to you, Alexa and August are heading to Texas soon and what's the point in going on a business trip if you can't have a lil fun while you do it?

CW: Mental health, abuse, and violence.

There is also some fluff that hopefully will make your heart melt for Alexia and August. Vote, comment, and share your opinions : ) thank you for being here!

"She's been swamped since her offer was accepted for the club location. Usually, she will check in but I haven't been able to get a hold of her for four days. I'm just not sure if I should be worried." August drops his phone on the desk lit up with multiple text bubbles-delivered but never read. She isn't one to play the silent treatment when mad and he can't think of anything he may have done that would even make her mad in the first place.

"Didn't you say that she can do this sometimes? She used to fall off the grid all the time right?" Chris tries to reassure him, he knows Alexia well but he also knows that August knows her much better than he ever will.

"Yes, but... That was different, it's complicated but I know that this is different." She would have told him if she had to leave for an op...right?

"Okay, have you tried calling Re? She would probably know if there is something else going on."

"No, but you're right I'll call her." Not even bothering to say goodbye he hangs up the office phone and dials Reya on his cell. "Reya. It's August."

"Yes, I know that, it's the twenty-first century I have caller ID. What's wrong now? You sound tense...er than usual."

"Have you spoken to Alexia in the past few days?" Throwing back another drink he slams the glass down on the table. Waving away the secretary that was about to come in.

"Uhh, no. I thought she was spending most of her time at your place. Or she might be touring properties. Maybe that would explain why she isn't answering her phone, it could be on silent." Looking up from her seat she can see the death glares from other students multiplying by the second. Sighing she packs up her stuff knowing she is going to lose her perfect spot and she walks out of the library.

"She didn't tell you?"

"Didn't tell me what?"

"She told me she was going to go see you and tell you. She put in an offer on a location and it was approved."

"What?!" She pulls her phone away to see if she had any missed calls or texts from Alexia.

Nothing.

"Yea, the same day as the shooting. She woke up the next morning to a message from her realtor." She said she was going to tell Reya so this only making his concerns grow.

"Ok, well how long has it been since you have heard from her?"

"Four days. And yes, she was staying with me, but a few days ago she said she had some meeting or work thing and she needed to be home for it. I've even gone by her apartment and no answer."

"Right, the college thing. OK calm down-"

"What college thing?"

"She is helping some of the kids she works with apply for college."

"What? What kids? You know what, never mind. Did she go out of town for work?

"No, she's in town. Her phone location says she is at her apartment. You said it's been four days right?"
