WHILE COBRA KAI WAS GETTING CRAZIER AND CRAZIER, the Miyagi-do students were absolutely thriving. It was like sunshine and rainbows every single day for them, as long as they steered clear of the Cobra Kais.
And currently? The students were celebrating as Demetri had finally found the Medal of Honor that they'd given up on days ago.
"What can I say?" Demetri gleefully bragged. "Looks like this nerd doesn't need stereotypical glasses, 'cause I actually have perfect sight!"
His new friends laughed at his joke, moreso at the fact that it was one of those jokes where it needed too much context.
"I actually saw it, I just didn't want to be the hero," Logan sarcastically lied, pretending to be bitter.
"Hey, man," Cameron patted his shoulder一 but to Logan, he harshfully dropped the weight of his hand on to his shoulder. "it's okay to take a loss for once."
"Yeah, yeah," he rolled his eyes.
Adrian tucked her white streaks of hair behind her ears, as she joined her apparent new friend group. But she actually had an ulterior motive. "So, did you guys hear that the valley's skating rink is having an 80s night?"
"Oh, that sounds cool," Cameron said, giving her a smile.
"Right?" she agreed. "So what if we all went there? Y'know, me and Demetri as a pair, then you and Logan as one一 like a... double hang out."
"You mean a double date?" Logan asked, his eyes widened as he grinned一 it was more like an undercover grimace. He had to pray that Milena hadn't heard about this little event.
"You?" Cameron asked, raising an eyebrow. "Want to go on a date with Demetri? And drag us along?"
"Why does that sound like an insult?" Demetri stared intently at just about anything in the sky, dramatically avoiding eye contact.
"It's not!"
"And if you're insinuating that Cam and I go on a date," Logan blinked, "you do realize I have a girlfriend, right?"
The girl laughed, taking it as another joke. Then the silence between them was loud. "Oh my gosh, I am so sorry一"
"I'll go with you," Demetri said assertively, now avoiding Logan's eye contact. But when he took a glance at Cameron, he quickly found that he needed to avoid his contact as well. "What's the worst that could happen?"
"I will not be witnessing this, I have plans," Cam lied, saluting sarcastically. Really, he just didn't want to be the fifth wheel.
"Suit yourself, Cam," Adrian said with a grin, resting her hand on Demetri's shoulder.

Milena loved to occasionally cosplay. The Halloween dance at West Valley was always her time to show out, and wear an absolutely sickening costume. Every year since middle school, people would start sighing when they saw her in the hallways looking at the posters.
