The school day has finally come to an end.

You could feel the spirit of Spring break in the air the moment the bell rang, notifying the students that the last period was over.

Steve was already waiting for her.

Robin finished the school day early and was already at work and Steve was kind enough to come get the younger sister on his break.

The Harrington boy was leaning on the hood of his car, waiting.

"Hey there, Harrington! Looking good." The girl shouted at him, he blushed as she walked over and hugged him. "Thanks for coming to pick me up."

"Don't even mention it, Rubes. It is my absolute pleasure." He bowed in front of her, pulling his hand out towards her, making the girl laugh as she took it and he walked her over to the passenger seat door. Steve opened it, "My lady."

"Why, thank you. Handsome sir." The brunette smiled at him playfully, as he closed the door behind her and paced over to the driver's seat. The engine revved up, and they drove out of the school parking lot.

"So...how was school, little girl? Had fun?" Steve teased.

"Hey, shut up, man. It's not my fault you're old." She teased back. "And school was...well, school. Nothing interesting per usual."

Ruby decided not to open up about the events of the pep rally. The Harrington boy was very protective of her and she didn't want to worry him too much.

"That's not surprising, but hey, at least now it's spring break." Steve said as he concentrated on the road.

"Oh, yeah, I'm totally gonna annoy you and Robin when you're working every day, now that I have all this free time." The brunette girl giggled as Steve looked at her, he smiled at the thought of seeing her at his job every day, but he turned his gaze back to the road quickly. He was a careful driver, not wanting to risk having an accident. Especially not when Ruby was in the car. Even if it meant not looking at her as long as he wanted to.

"Oh my god, I love this song." The hazel eyed girl exclaimed excitedly as she turned up the volume and sang along.

I can dim the lights and sing you songs full of sad things
We can do the tango just for two
I can serenade and gently play on your heart strings
Be your Valentino just for you

Steve was mesmerized by her. She was holding an imaginary microphone and gestured her hands all over as she swayed to the music. He snapped out of it when he heard her speaking to him in a humming voice.

"Sing with me, Stevie. I know you want to." She smiled in anticipation. Steve chuckled lightly and started singing as well.

Ooh, love, ooh, loverboy
What're you doin' tonight, hey, boy?
Set my alarm, turn on my charm
That's because I'm a good old-fashioned loverboy
