Dazzling specks of white twinkled like a thousand fireflies in the dark twilight of Tokyo's sky. It's reflection casting upon a pair of red eyes that had only began to lose it's beautiful shade of red as it stared mindlessly at the night sky with those eyes that had now began to release its grip on life. There was no sign of light in those eyes of hers but an empty shell that gazed upon the stars like a lost child who had given up on hope of searching her home in the crowd of shining lights.

Not even a quiver of her dark pupils moved while she laid slumped on the cold cement floor of the highest building in Tokyo. Her back drenched in her own blood as the pool of the dark crimson liquid beneath her became her only warmth in the cold night and her jet-black hair was sprawled all over it, soaking in the blood and dying the hair a dark shade of red.

With every shuttering and haltering breath she exhaled, the cold breeze froze it and turned the oxygen into a white misty fog. Her breathing left a sharp pierce in stomach, and she hissed in pain.

Blood had rushed to her throat, and she gurgled a cough. The red liquid was spat out from her mouth and dripped down the side of her cheek. She gripped the warm sticky material of her torn black shirt where the dagger had been implicated, tearing through her skin, and ripping apart her flesh leaving a dreadful stinging pain that stung whenever she dared to move.

She bit her bottom lip to minimise the stinging feeling of her wound.

'Who knew it would be you to kill me in the end.'

A tear had escaped and rolled down her eye, letting it be the only sadness the assassin had let the world to see. The tear that held every bit of dread, betrayal, and anguish that she had felt, the assassin let it fall. With a last glance of the stars, she closed her eyes and let the world sink in. A world that made her feel as if she was drifting aimlessly into nowhere.

The world that was the sole reason that made her feel so foolish and lost.

The shock of his betrayal had left her feeling numb and emotionless. The years that had left her heart a bickering cold was melted away by him, but it was him that froze it up again. Leaving her in the same state he had found her in.

The memories had slowly begun to drift in, and her heart began to pounder in her chest. Her lips began to tremble uncontrollably, but she clenched her jaw tight and chocked back her cry.

"Artemis, if there is such thing as another life, I would want to spend it with you again" his angelic voice echoed in her ears but the tune she heard was of nothing but a mockery of her former position right now making her boil up in a rage. She clenched the material harder, and her free hand clawed to a fist.

Artemis couldn't bare this hypocrisy of this traitors words. This feeling she never felt before riled up inside of her. This sudden spiral of hate that circled her cold stone heart toward the person whom she thought to trust, now wanted to shred him piece to piece and make him pay for doing this to her.
