Chapter 14

"Hmm, I didn't expect you to be here Dolly~. Is Illu your target?", the magician asked.

"Possibly. Are you going to interfere?", Kalen replies as he takes a knife from his belt. He doesn't actually need it often but he likes taking it out anyways since the blade is infused with nen.

"No~. I'd love to see what potential you have~", Hisoka says grinning.  

Kalen doesn't have time to answer before he bombarded by pins. Thank god he took out the knife because he manages to deflect or dodge each one of the pins, leaving an amused expression on the pin-man's face.

With the skill Illu possesses Kalen can guess that he's either a hitman or some sort of assassin.

"You're a killer right? I can tell. After all, it takes one to know one", Kalen smiles slightly before running forwards and activating his nen on both himself and Illu.

First the two of them exchange a few close up punches before Illu throws a pin at his face. Kalen dodges and activates his Nen on both himself and the other. As another pin comes towards him he ducks and quickly moves behind Illu and with the help of his Nen, slams him onto the grass.

After flipping him over and keeping him down with his Nen, Kalen takes his tag before releasing the latter. He gets up too quickly and his vision blurs, making him sway slightly.

"Impressive dolly~, didn't expect you'd be able to best Illu here. You've probably damaged his poor, delicate, ego~", Hisoka mused, grinning.

Kalen releases Illu after backing away a couple steps, just to make sure he doesn't get immediately attacked.

"You aren't bad for your age, have you ever considered becoming an assassin?", the pin man asked robotically.

"No, but I've done... similar business before", he responds hesitantly, "Either way, here's your tag back, I already had enough points".

The other man catches the tag and tilts his head in confusion but doesn't say anything. In truth, Kalen did plan to return the badge unless he wasn't able to defeat him. Which would never happen. He always wins now. What happened before will never happen again.

He turns to leave before he feels a hand grab his wrist.

"Leaving already Dolly~?"

"Yes. Yes I'm fucking leaving, now let go".

Hisoka doesn't let go. Kalen frowns and tries the pull his hand away more desperately, and Hisoka only tightens his grip.

"I want to test you, care to try my exam~?", Hisoka grins, tightening his grip even more as he leaned his face closer.

Nonononono

Its happening again

He's going to be used like that again

"Get away! Don't fucking touch me!", Kalen shouted, using his Nen and shoving Hisoka away from him. He then turned ran as fast as he fucking could before finally reaching the cave he'd been staying in for the past few days.

He went in and sat down with his head between his arms and took a few shaky breaths. He had hardly thought about these things recently (he was lying he thought about it a lot) but god why was he so scared.

No one was going to do anything to him anymore, no one would... touch him like that again.
