With the disappearance of Y/N on the surface and the Underground for two months, the public became paranoid and hopeless without their ruler, relying on Asriel's timid leadership.

However, there were rumors of the Shattered Dream. Many believed, and many didn't. But then again, some fingers were being pointed at the Knox Gang Leader. But it was suspected due to his close, rival-friend relationship, which was unbelievable. Miles and Asriel have attempted to find Y/N alone, but what they lack is a good team...

October 15, 2023.
At a press conference, both about the disappearance of the Ruler, Y/N, and some unresolved business from multiple parties...

A person from the Dreemurr Family stood up. He was seated at the other end of the table, where Y/N would be. "May I have your attention?" His voice was polite but firm. Everyone looked at him. "As you know, I am the partner of Frisk. They've always told me one thing. If they ever go, we have to agree on one thing."

"And that is?" Someone from the table said.

"We gotta find them, duh. Miles and I have been looking, but we need to get volunteers since this is stressful for us. Some of us have things to take of right now." Asriel said, looking around at everyone to ensure he grabbed their attention.

Asriel produced a jar full of white paper balls from underneath the table. Asriel sat it in front of him. "Here we have a jar of people suspected of involvement with Frisk's disappearance. Every member of a party will pull, excluding its leaders. As stated, the top-voted person will have to participate in the search team for Frisk as the leader..."

He pulled out a paper and passed the jar around. Everyone pulled a piece and continued, eventually returning to Asriel empty. "You may now open!" He shouted as loud unraveling filled the room, then everyone began peeking at each other's, whispering something afterward.

Many business owners were listed, all of which were unimportant, and no one had their names on them.

"If you have the Royal Scientist, Doctor Alphys, stand up!" Three people stood up, then sat down. "She's not here for the moment, anyway. She's busy."

"Last but not least, Miles "Fox" Knox. 1st Chairman of the Dreemurr Businesses and other unmentionable parties. If you have him, please stand up!" Everyone but the previous 3 stood up.

"So... Miles, you have any connotations?" Asriel said.

Miles' POV

I smirked. "Of course. Let my crew and I do this alone."

"So do you have anything to do with the murder?" One of the guests said.

"No, Y/N's not dead," Everyone gasped. "why the hell do you think their disappearance is called a disappearance in the first place, Archie?"
That's right—Archie. He's a scumbag and a nemesis who has ties with the police.

"You must've kidnapped 'em. Knowing how—"

"Stop!" Asriel slammed his fist on the table, gaining everyone's attention. "You're speaking out of turn. Let Miles speak!" And with that, I was already fed up, crossing my arms in defiance. After a long moment of silence, I shook my head in annoyance and got up, walked toward the exit, then looked over my shoulder in doubt.

It has to be this way, for now.

Awkwardly, Asriel spoke up, "Goodbye, Miles." everyone followed up with the same or a simple bye.

I pushed the heavy doors open and walked out, causing a thunderous slam. My reflection was pristine, clear down the halls, getting every detail. Then again, Y/N... I shouldn't have lied. After that one strange night, where the hell was we? We fought, then it was just complete darkness...?

Wait, it's Alphy's doing. I need to find her, but she moved last month. Maybe if— THUMP!
I ran straight into a glass window after an accident, hearing a group of laughter behind me. I did the same until I turned around to see the entire crew.

"Boss, you good?" Someone said.

"Yeah. I ain't paying attention like I used to. Maybe that'll show me. Let's head on outta this hellhole."

3 Hours Later

I leaned back against the wall as I calmed myself down, peering up to see all my goons filling the alleyway. They greeted me and leaned or sat along the walls before me as I sharpened my blade idly as chatted quietly. Nothing but wind and chatter echoed throughout the residential alleyways, followed by distant traffic. "Get the hell outta here!" One of my followers defiantly yelled.

I lifted my head to see a group of armored walked into the alleyway, causing my people to walk back to me, prepared to fight. Several monsters—Snowdin Patrol Officers, were in some triangular formation, filling up the other side of the alleyway and blocking the entrance. "Mr. Knox, I'm afraid we will have to pull aside and potentially arrest you due to reports of..." He pulled out a long piece of paper. "Suspicious behavior, erratic, unusual, behavior, possession of illegal weapons, engagement in malicious acts, including... thievery, vandalism, and terrorism. Please come at once. Peacefully." He finished.

It must be Archie's doing. What a leech.

I suppose in a time like this; people don't learn until a sword has been drawn.
