Two years have passed since Cassie Cage had defeated Shinnok in the Jinsei chamber. She had become Earth realm's new defender and it's champion. For the most part Cassie lives her days in the MMA fighting circuit, keeping her skills sharpened. Takeda and Jacqui stayed close as they were off taking a vacation at some sunny beach somewhere. Jin was with Kung Lao after successfully rescuing him from the clutches of Outworld. The two are training to be more skilled than they once were in the mountains of the Shaolin Temples. As for the parents, they stayed at the Special Forces encampment, planning on how to free Liu Kang and the others.

"Sonya....are you alright?" Sonya turned around to see her ex-husband walk through to com see her. She could hear the concern in his voice as Sonya rubbed her eyes. "Yes. Just a little dazed, but I'm fine Johnny." Johnny was a little surprised to hear his ex call him by his first name, but the hearing of it put a small smile across his face. He saw Sonya, her eyes forming bags, the fatigue of her body, her messy hair. His then eyes diverted to the battle table used for diverting orders to Special Forces units, including Cassie's squad. He saw various books, scrolls and tomes given to her by raiden. She had been investigating none stop to find a solution to free their fellow comrades in Outworld. "Sonya....sweetie.....maybe you should take a break. You've been exhausting yourself for days. I'm sure Raiden will find a solution but right now you look like you could use your beauty sleep." He grinned.

"F..Fuck...you Cage." Her voice groggy and her posture lowering. She was working her self to the bone. "Also I got that forms for the new recruits arriving tomorrow. The candidates looking promising." Sonya simply nodded and buried her head in her hands. Johnny frowned seeing his ex like this. He approached her placing the forms on the table. She felt Johnny's hand on her shoulder and saw his other hand reach out to him. "Come on, don't make me carry you out of her like on our last honeymoon." A small blush ran across her face as she smacked his hand away. She immediately stood up, readjusted herself and started to walk in the direction of her tent. Johnny sighed as he looked on watching her walk away to bed. "Stubborn as always but God that's what I love about her." He thought to himself. Knowing his ex-wife would wear herself out, he knew she was going to need a lot of help. He reached down and pulled his iphone from his pocket and went to his contacts: Cassie Bear.

J - "Hey sweetie."

C - "Hey Dad."

J - "How goes the ass kicking?"

C - " 4 - 0, so it's fucking great

J - "Hey language Cass."

C - " Sorry. So anyways, what's up?"

J - "It's time."

C - "Back to work again huh?"

J - "Oh yeah. Round up the others we got a lot to do."

C - "Okay Dad. Oh by the way...."

J - "Yeah?"

C - "How's mom doing?"

J - "Wearing herself out day by day. She needs us Cass....more than ever."

C - "I'll be there first thing tomorrow morning with the gang. Bye Dad, I love you and tell Mom that to."

J - "Love you to sweetie and I will."

C - "Bye."

J - "Bye."

Johnny pushed the power button on his phone. He walked outside the tent placing his hands in his pockets. He sighed looking up at the sky with hope and dread. "Were going to need all the help we can get."

The next day

A bus was slowing pulling in to the driveway of the Special Forces base. A man sitting at the back seats looked out the window. Seeing miles of soldiers, refugees and tents. His skin was slightly brown and his hair was raven black. He had a medium fit build and dark brown eyes. His carry-on bag had a flag patched on his bag. An American and Philippine flag.

Enter Private Devitt Kane. Will this new hero save the world or will a returning evil destroy him and all of Earthrealm.
