"How many are left?"

"We still don't know but it seems like they have a global system. Every time we take one down another five pop up, that's why we think there are so many images of you and Sam, odds are Owen gave sold the cover before we picked him up." Tony fills her in on everything they have found. It's been about about a month since she got back and more significantly, a month since August has spoken to her.

"I guess I should be thankful that was as bad as it got. It could have been much worse." She says as she shuffles through the mission files.

"Yea, except it is even your responsibility to handle cases like this. None of this should have happened." Ever since Tony found out about the op he has let it be known he's pissed Syd asked Alexia to help knowing everything she has going on right now. "Well, you are cleared to share those files with him if you choose."

"Ok, thanks, Tony." She looks down at the time, "Shit, I have to go. Everything is crazy busy at the club right now."

"Wait...I just want you to know how incredibly proud I am of you. I know your parents would be too."

There is a long pause. It's been a while since she has heard someone say they are proud of her and the mention of her parents causes her to choke on a ball of emotion. "Thank you...I love you."

"Love you too kiddo." The line goes dead and she wipes a rogue tear from her cheek. Sliding the file back into an envelope she presses it against her chest and zips her leather jacket over it. Grabbing her keys, phone, a micro USB cable, and her helmet she hurries out the door.

Trying to think of what she is going to say—wondering if she should just leave the files on the table— that is if he hasn't come back in the amount of time it took for her to get there. She hacked the building's security cameras earlier that morning and saw him leave for work about an hour before she left her apartment—Jace driving him everywhere because he's too fucked up to know a red from a green light.

"Good morning Miss Petrova." Thomas greets her as she pushes through the gold revolving door.

"Hey Thomas, is August back yet?" Pretending this is just like any other time she has come by in the past.

"I believe he's still out. Would you like me to give him a call for you?."

"No, that's fine, I still have a key." She smiles holding it up. Looking at the key he steps aside and motions for her to head down to the elevator. Pretending to respond to a text she closes the elevator doors then unscrews the panel near the pin pad, connects her phone, and in no time she's rocketing up toward his apartment.

Now for the easy part, she walks towards August's door pulling two bobby pins from her hair. After a few seconds, she gets them in place and feels the pins click into place one by one until the handle turns and she can push the door open.

"I don't think it's fair that he didn't have to do all this to get into my apartment." She whines to herself as she enters the penthouse and deactivates his alarm. Looking around she sees countless empty bottles throughout his home, along with a hole in his wall where he must have punched through it. The entire place is a disaster. Shocked, she just stands there for what must have been at least ten minutes as she takes it all in. Despite him dumping her, he's taking it just as hard as she is, maybe even harder. She has had a new business to keep her busy, August has been trying to ignore his. Worrying this may have been a mistake she decides to just leave it for him to find when he gets home. Grabbing a pen and a bright blue post-it note she writes;

I promised to prove it, I'm sorry I couldn't tell you sooner. I am sorry for any pain this caused you. Hopefully, you can forgive me eventually but I get that you need time and I may be asking too much this time. I love you Auggie. Please call me when you're ready to talk.
