"Look at my sis, all grown up!"

"Oh please don't start. It's just college."

"Don't tell your twin sister when to start Ghost."

"Not like you listen to me, Tobi."

Ghost shut the trunk of her car after placing the last cardboard box in the back. Her hands are aching and red from all the moving she has to do. After nearly a two-year break from school, she was ready to enroll and start anew-and even ready to make new friends! Once she realized she wouldn't be able to sustain herself by owning her own place, she made the impulsive choice to join her last resort. A sorority. Pi Kappa Sigma was the only one that accepted her in the sea of Ghost's applications.

So she has horribly packed away her belongings in order to simply unpack them in her new room.

"I don't know how the sorority accepted me considering I joined in the middle of winter. Ghost said

At the mention of winter, her body jerked up, feeling a gush of freezing air crash on her skin.

"Well, I think they knew they couldn't pass up having you in their sorority," Tobi replied, crossing her arms across her chest.

Both the sisters let out a huff of laughter. Tobi looked at the phone in her hand before cursing through her teeth.

"Shit! You've got to leave like right now if you want to get there early."

Tobi gave Ghost a quick side hug before ushering her into the driver's seat. She kept complaining about the time as her hands made small shoves against the other girl's back.

"Let me say goodbye first! Damn." Ghost yelled.

Tobi stood on the other side of the driver's seat door, setting her arms to rest against the edge of the lowered window. As much as she was forcing her sister into her car, she knew she would still miss the brunette. Even if she was annoying, just a little bit.

Ghost snapped on her seatbelt and jolted her car awake, turning the heater on full blast. Canada has the harshest winters she's ever seen; she almost died the first time she went outside in a short sleeve.

"Try not to fall for any weirdos over there," Tobi said.

Both girls exchanged a warm goodbye hug through the window, holding it for nearly a minute. Tobi pulled away first before rubbing her fist against the crown of her sister's head.

"I'll try." Ghost finally replied.

After a final wave from the side door window, Ghost slid out of her driveway and began her drive to college.

The drive was nearly an hour and a half away, but it was enough time for her nerves to kick in. She was going to be the same age as the girls in her sorority, but the difference was that she was a freshman. A part of her regretted waiting two years to attend college, but she was so exhausted from high school that she couldn't bring herself to enroll.

Ghost has always had terrible burnouts, but the one she had after high school was the worst she's ever had. For a whole month, she never left her room; she didn't even feel the energy to eat. A few months ago, she finally snapped out of her burnout and made the decision to get her degree.

Although she was excited about her sorority, she couldn't help feeling giddy about the possibility of meeting someone. And she means to MEET them. Ghost always romanticized the thought of falling in love with a sweet guy, or maybe a lovely girl. Dating was her hardest struggle; she couldn't help but feel horribly attached to people. It didn't even have to be partners; it could be anyone. For a second, she was attached to her sister. She followed her to all her classes in middle school and even stole her clothes to wear. Most of the men she's dated never liked her attachment, so she's been learning to dial back.
