["It's not a fight, it's war.]

"Why is your last name Harper?" Petrova leaned on the back seat with her legs crossed.

"Why is yours Petrova?" Yi turned to look at her.

"Because I'm Russian." she said as if it wasn't obvious. "But you're...obviously not American."

"Yeah, no shit, beauty." Harper grinned, spinning forward.

From the passenger seat, I looked in the direction of the bar "Coffee and Sex". We've been parked for thirty minutes, waiting for any sign of Christian Kennedy.

"When did you say Kennedy was coming?" I ask, still looking at the bar.

"3:15 p.m." Yi answers, checking his watch. "According to his schedule, he should have arrived by now."

"He's fucking some girl he found on the street." Maria speaks, also looking out the window.

"Probably. That bastard fucks anyone from sixteen to sixty."

"Sick."

A few minutes of silence.

"So, why did you come to America?" Petrova asks again. Harper's personal life seems to interest her more than the investigation. I wonder if she remembers last night fondly. Her in my lap, while her fingers are lightly intertwined with mine, and the music we were making. I repeated that event in my head several times, especially conversation in which she said that nothing happened between Zareh and her.

I don't know if I should trust her, she is as cunning as a fox and a good manipulator even when she pretends to be nervous and innocent. I just want to believe it. I want her to be mine even for one night.

Yi and Petrova are already deep in conversation. They talk about the blades they have and which one is their favorite. I want to say something, but then I'd come across as desperate and attention-seeking.

The two of them have a lot in common. Both fled their country for a similar reason, and now seeking refuge in America. I feel sorry for them. It's difficult to leave the country where you were raised, especially if something traumatic happened to you.

I know that feeling.

Petrova's black coat, which only moments ago covered her legs up to her knees, lifted up, revealing a perfect view of her thighs. I looked down a bit, but soon I started to look up. Nothing to see here, her black skirt covers a part of her that I would love to see and even more to touch. The only not-so-dead color on her is her white shirt, which she has buttoned up to the neck.

Oh honey, let the world see you.

"There he is." Yi said, and I follow his gaze which falls on the tall man with sunglasses and three other men following him. They enter the cafe and now it's time for action.
