Airplane Shenanigans

We were flying. Flying.
Lexi saw something and it was the necklace. It was in St.Louis Missouri. Well thanks a lot because WE JUST CAME FROM THERE?!
We just boarded the flight and because Noah is the local scammer we got business class seats.
It was spacious enough but I'm waiting for Jupiter to strike me down.
I peek out of my space and next to me were Noah and Lexi.
Lexi was reading a book and Noah was looking outside with a glass of coke.

I got a glimpse of Kyle sleeping with earbuds on, probably listening to music.

"Noah what are you doing?" I ask the Son of Mercury.
He looks at me and responds, "Maybe looking for my dad?"
"Nice response." I answer sarcastically.
"What?!"

I laughed, "Any wild dreams last night?"
"Nah. Slept dreamless. Which was unusual."

I remembered the boy in my dreams, and the goddess . Guess he was also looking for the apple. We better stop him or we're screwed.

"Attention Passengers we're going to receive a bit of turbulence so please remain seated." The speakers yelled, just then we hit a bit of turbulence and I hurled.
I felt vomit up to my throat and swallowed it back down.
My throat was burning and dying from that as I calmed down and waited for it to stop.

Lexi poked my shoulder in concern, "You okay?"
I whimper a weird noise and nod
"Want some potions? I packed it for air sickness, just in case."
I didn't question where it came from.

I whimpered again and took the bottle from her hand.
I swallowed it and retched in disgust.

"What flavor is this?" I growled in a scratchy voice.
"Sorry! it was mint flavored." She apologized.
"It's fine." I mumbled.

Now staring back at my screen I looked at the 30 minutes from landing. Oh gods, after we land I need a nice cold water and a toilet. I'm not moving for a while.

I was sleeping on the plane after a stressful Security Check. Gods I wanted to punch them in the face, why where they so stupid?

I had to fake a lot of stuff because of the explosive shrapnel in my body.
So security wouldn't have kicked me out.

Two they spent plenty of precious time trying to examine my hand grenade which was my imperial gold sword.
The mist made it plastic but mortals must be stupid as heck...no offense to Rachel Shes the best mortal in the world.

If you think Alia hates planes you should hear me complain about them.

Anyway, back to my dream.
There was this kid I feel like I recognize him but his face is black and unknown, glitching continuously.
The goddess held him in his hand while he worked. Like some kind of puppetry.
I couldn't see the face of the goddess either.
They both looked at me and I was attacked by a string of black. I tumbled and fell backwards into a pit.

My mother ran out of a door and never came back.
My dad had his back on me in shame.
My old babysitter was on the floor bleeding.
My brother was shot to death.

But the thing that hurt me the most. The dead body returned back to Camp.
It was him. It was the Son of Jupiter.
In a coffin, resting peacefully. I was one of the only ones that got a glance before he was cremated.
People say it was sacrifice.
I wanted to know why?
Everyone I'd love had gotten killed.

It would be a matter of time before Noah and Lexi die too.
I think the gods cursed me.

As I finally got up and closed the coffin.
Fire swarmed my body. Drowning me in flames, I tried to run. But it just sucked me back in.

Thunder struck and it was Mars appearing in an American Military Uniform. A sniper on his back and grenades on his belt.
"You disappointment of a child. What Roman are you if everyone you love dies. You aren't my son. You don't even count as a hero. A pathetic soldier."

He took off his glasses, I would've expected his eyes that are literally fire. But he had eyes, blood red. Just like mine.
The powers I have aren't even because of me. It's because of mom. Heck she's gone now so what's the point.

His eyes flared in anger as he pulled out a hand grenade. Pulled the hook and threw it at me.
"Weak." He says.
As the grenade blew up in my face and I woke up in shock.

I breathed heavily as sweat dripped down my face.
I looked outside as Phonk music blasted in my ears. (It's good music okay?)

Surprisingly this plane wasn't monster infiltrated.
I don't want to be labeled as a criminal if I kill someone which was in reality a monster.

Outside was a steel Archway. We're here!
The Gateway Arch was the gateway to St. Louis.
Also the place where The Great Percy Jackson fell off into the Mississippi River.

Don't ask how I know all this. I just do.
I looked around and Alia was heavily constipated. Noah was well Noah.
Lexi was looking at me, "Move Kyle I can't see St. Louis with your head covering the window."
"Right—"

I leaned back in my seat awkwardly and stared outside, as we came in airport range.
"Passengers we're now landing please buckle your seatbelts and don't get up until the plane stops moving. Welcome to St. Louis Missouri."
