I stayed with the boys for a while after the Djinn, and before I knew it, we had reached the end of April. Time goes by fast in this life. It was late and we hadn't eaten yet, so Dean pulled up to a remote diner. Sam was the one to get the food that day while the rest of us made our requests known. "Don't forget the extra onions this time, huh?"

I glanced at Dean just as Sam gave him a look "Dude... We're the ones who're gonna have to ride in the car with your extra onions." Sam left as Dean leaned towards him. "Hey, see if they got any pie." However, Sam had already left resulting in a shout from the older brother. "Bring me some pie. I love me some pie." I shook my head at his giddiness. Dean leaned back in his seat as he turned the volume up.

I threw my legs up on the backseat as I leaned on the door to get more comfortable when suddenly the music began to cut in and out. I sat up again as Dean began to tap the radio only for it to go static. Dean got out and closed the door. Not even a second later the radio began to play some sort of country music.

I got out of the car too only to find the diner empty as opposed to mere seconds ago. I glanced around confused as I couldn't see the younger Winchester in the building. "Sam." Dean's voice joined from the open door of the diner. "Sammy? Sam?" I shared a look with Dean only to find worry in his eyes. He walked back to the car as he called out once more. "Sammy." I could hear the panic in his voice as he yelled again. "Sam!"

I walked up to Dean who was visibly disturbed and gently placed my hand on his shoulder. "We'll find him, if there is anyone who can find him it's you." Dean looked me in the eyes and all I could see was determination. "Come on, I know who can help us." Dean and I got in the car and for the first time since I joined the brothers I sat in the front seat, yet somehow it felt wrong, after all, it was Sam's seat.

Dean pulled out his phone and with a few clicks of the buttons he was calling someone. "Bobby, it's Dean. Sam's missing and I believe it was a demon, meet me as soon as you can, I'll head to the Roadhouse, so you find me somewhere on the way there." He didn't speak otherwise as we drove. The only time he spoke again was when a truck blinked at us and parked on the side of the road. "This is Bobby, he taught me and Sam everything we know. I trust that you will respect him and be quiet while we figure out where Sam is."

I nodded and as soon as the car stopped, I opened the door and stepped out only to take a step back in shock. There he was, the man I hadn't spoken with since I was thirteen. I looked down as Dean stepped up to him and they pulled out a map. "This is it. All demonic signs and omens over the past month." His voice hadn't changed over the past thirteen years, and it was as if a knife was twisting in my chest. "You're joking, there's nothing here."

I couldn't help but sneak glances their way as I leaned on Baby, Dean's Impala as I had come to learn she was called. "Exactly." I looked over at the two men as Dean spoke with frustration. "Come on. There's gotta be something. What about the normal, low-level stuff? Exorcisms, that kind of thing."

I couldn't help but worry for Sam as the brothers had come to be a big part of my life in the short time I had known them, I began to wonder what to do about it. I knew it would be difficult for me to remove myself from them, but I would have to, if I wanted them to survive in this life. Afterall everyone I get close to either leave or die. "That's what I'm telling ya. There's Nothing. It's completely quiet."

Dean's frustrated voice reached my ears and I turned to look at him with sympathy. "How are we supposed to look for Sam? Close our eyes and point?" I wasn't any help, but I knew my history well enough to think of a few possible places. I squared my shoulders as I walked up to Baby's hood where the map was rolled out. A phone rang as I stood and glanced at the map thinking.

I looked at the names of the cities as I ignored the man beside me. I took a marker and drew a couple of circles on the map. "These are places he could be if the demons don't want people to look for them." A voice came from behind me. "Ash, what do you got?" I glanced at Dean. Ash called him? "Come on man, you gotta give us something. We're looking at a 3000-mile haystack here." I couldn't help but nod in agreement.
