Looking Out For You
The duration of that day was spent as planned. You were fitted in different costumes, each one tailored as you wore it to ensure the perfect fit. Once you were dressed, you had your hair and makeup done, to get a close a likeness to Priscilla's late 60s look. The transformation was a little shocking, you could still see yourself, but you never knew how alike you would look with a bit of makeup and hair styled like hers. Your hair stylist, makeup artist and designer were praising your beauty dancing around you as they made their finishing touches, tweaking locks of hair and straightening your jacket. Brushing off their praise, blushing a little, you told them it was all on them, how they'd made you appear the way you did.
Smiling at their work, they backed away from you, allowing you to get a proper look in a full length mirror. You were taken back by the transformation. The wig was a dark brunette bouffant that ended above your breast, your brows matching the colour and your eyes were dark, with long lashes on top. Your lips a light rouge, matching the bright orange high collar, double breasted blazer. A mini skirt of the same pattern that ended mid-thigh showed off your legs. It wasn't your usual style but you felt glamorous, giving a little twirl so to admire their handy work. You thanked them gratefully, before they took their leave.
You had a little time to yourself before your manager would come and escort you to set, so you sat idly. How many minutes you spent admiring your outfit, you weren't quite sure, touching the styled wig lightly without mussing it. Twiddling with the ring on your left ring finger. You debated giving your phone a browse, but before long your manager was knocking on the door. She came in also praising the new look, standing in the doorway as you gathered yourself.
She led you through the building, warning you of wires down the halls. Imagine tripping now, breaking a heal, twisting your ankle and mussing up your whole outfit. Your mind tried to nag at you, which you mentally swatted away with desperation. And then you reached your destination, the stage all set up. Dacre was there, clad in his Steve Binder getup, chatting with Luke Bracey who was playing the role of Jerry Schilling.
You went to greet them, quickly getting aquatinted with Luke as you shook his hand and catching up with Dacre. Baz was chatting away with some of the production team, probably not even noticing your presence in the room. But when he finally turned, he was in awe of you, rushing over to clasp your hands.
"(Y/n), my goodness, look at you!" Baz began gushing, raising one of your hands and motioning towards you. "Priscilla Presley, everyone!"
You giggled as Baz showed you off to the room, earning some whoops and claps from producers and the few extras that were strewn about. Dacre clasped a hand around his mouth, yelling out, "Priscilla, I love you, whooo~," making you laugh ten times harder, hand grasping the ache that it caused in your belly.
"Darling, you look magnificent!" Baz spoke as he turned back into you, grasping your other hand again as he smiled.
"Thank you so much, Baz. I really can't describe how honoured I am to be here and to have this opportunity. I still can't believe I'm even standing here with you!" There were so many emotions swirling inside of you, causing your eyes to well up.
"Oh no, no. No crying, Darling! You'll mess up your beautiful makeup." He said, as he made a motion to fan your tears away.
"I know, I know, I'm sorry. I'm just getting emotional." A little laugh mixed up in a sob bubbled out of you as you made a very light attempt at clearing the tear from your eye, pressing your middle finger carefully into the corner of your eye.
"I'm just so happy!" You exclaimed as you pressed your finger into your other eye, letting out another laugh/sob.
"Oh, aren't you such a treat, I could just squeeze you." Baz said playfully, giving your hand a squeeze as he'd said.
