Chapter Eight

"Haley!" I ran through the woods running around trying to find Haley. I heard her laugh when I almost made it to her before I heard low growling and a short squeal. "Haley?" I quickened my pace and ran towards the growls. I followed the growling and quickly came to a clearing. Haley was standing behind a large golden wolf that I quickly recognized as Jack my soon to be beta. He was growling at a dirty white wolf. It didn't look like a threat but I knew it wasn't from my pack "Shift" I commanded towards the wolf who instantly complied

"Tyler?" Haley's voice was soft and her eyes were full of unshed tears. I growled towards the unknown wolf who held Haley's gaze.

"I could kill you now" My voice was harsh causing the boy to flinch as well as Jack who was still in wolf form. I growled at the boy before walking to him before I felt a stinging in my shoulder. I turn around to see Haley scowling at me

"Leave him be Asher. I know him"

"That's nice. He's trespassing and he could have hurt you" I grabbed her hand pulling her towards me causing her to sigh and lean into me.

"I'm sorry Alpha Dawson.I came from the Blue River pack. I came searching for Haley Blake. I didn't plan on trespassing,It's just that I smelt my mate and my wolf took over" He bowed his head getting down on one knee. I looked towards Jack and nodded mentally telling him to grab shorts for him and the rouge. I stayed silent until Jack had thrown the shorts at the rouge

"Jack,Take Haley back to the house" Jack nodded before walking over to Haley who growled

"Back down Jack. I'll snap your wrist" Haley hissed out towards Jack. Pushing her Luna voice which caused Jack to freeze in his spot. I growled again towards Jack as his wolf was confused on who to listen.

"Jack,As your Alpha I'm telling you to take Haley back to the house. Grab her!" My voice was strong even though I hated allowing him to touch my mate. Haley struggled in his grip as he dragged her away. Once out of sight I quickly jumped the rouge landing a swift punch in his gut. "How do you know my mate?" I growled lifting him up by his hair as he coughed

"I met her six years ago" He spat out some blood before speaking again "I helped her escape from my Alpha's Prison. I got caught. I've been a rouge for five years" I landed another punch on his jaw

"Why did you help my mate? What did you want in return?"

"She offered to be my mate if I helped her!" He growled at me "She was ten at the time I didn't accept it but I did help her!"

"You came back hoping she was still single so you could mate since she turned sixteen!" I grabbed him by his hair and started dragging him towards the prison. I ignored his pleas and I dragged him into the cells.

"I don't want her. I have a mate in your pack somewhere just let me look for here!" His shout fall upon deaf ears as I locked the cell door and walked away.

How did such a good day go bad?

Hey! I'm sorry for not uploading fast. I don't always have the time to write. I'm on summer vacation but I am in driving school for four hours I day but I only have two classes left!
