"Okay, I'm not waiting anymore. Tell me what the hell happened between you and Malikai back in high school."
Cosette barges into Vivian's room and gets straight to the point. Vivian is laying in her bed, still half asleep since her friend just woke her up rudely. She groans and pulls the blanket over her head, the bright sunlight coming from the hallway making her headache worse. She drank too much last night. Cosette pulls the blanket off of Vivian, wanting answers right away.
"Don't tell me it was nothing, because it's obvious that you two knew each other well. I mean you and Miles were practically finishing each other's sentences all night! And I know that you wouldn't just slap somebody for some minor inconvenience. So what the hell did he do to you?"
Vivian huffs lightly before dragging herself out of bed. She ignores the blonde and walks over to her closet, pulling a large hoodie off its hanger and putting it on. She walks out of the room, Cosette following closely behind and talking quickly.
"Did you date? I mean I know you said that he did nothing, but what the hell does that mean? And the chemistry between you and Malikai, I mean it literally radiated off you guys, right babe? You felt it too? You can't tell me nothing happened between them," Sage is standing in the kitchen with a mug of coffee in his hand which he hands to Vivian as soon as she's close enough to reach it. Cosette continues to rapidly fire her thoughts and questions to the pair of them and Vivian continues to ignore her. Her head is pounding and her body is sore and weak from the large amount of alcohol she consumed and hours of dancing from last night. "Malikai isn't somebody that I thought you would know, I swear you are moral opposites. But come on, if you two have a history then there are things I don't know about you that I definitely should. Come on, Vivian! Or should I say 'Viv'? You never let us call you that, so why do they get to? And since when did it become okay to call him Kai? I've only ever heard people, other than Miles, call him Malikai, is there some kind of inside joke or secret underground gang you three were that none of us know about? Is the nickname thing just you three or are there more of you? And what is Miles' nickname? Mile? My? Les? Freaking 'Meter'? Oh my god did you have a thing with him too? Hellooooo? Speak, Vivian!"
"No. He's an ass. There is no chemistry. Nothing happened. There is no secret gang. He has no nickname. No, we were just friends. Hi! Shut up, Cos," Vivian answers all of the blonde's questions vaguely and in the order Cosette had asked them while holding her head in her hand. She takes the bottle of Tylenol out of Sage's hands and opens it. She takes a few of the pills and washes them down with her coffee.
"Don't tell me to shut up!" Cosette narrows her eyes at Vivian. "Explain to me what all that was about last night?!"
"Lay off her, babe," Sage finally speaks up. She turns to him and glares at him now. Most people would cringe and run away when she does this, but he and Vivian and Loretta are the only people who aren't scared of her. "It was a long night and she just woke up, let her breath for a second."
Vivian smiles at him a little before going to sit on their couch. Cosette and Sage follow her and sit on each side of her. She takes a deep breath again and relaxes a little, the Tylenol has started to sooth her aching body.
"Okay, second's up." Sage says with a huge smile on his face. "Spill."
"Wow, thank you so much," Vivian rolls her eyes and fakes a glare at him. They both look at her expectantly, not blinking once as they wait for her to explain everything. "Fine, guys. Jeez. I moved here at the end of my freshman year of high school. I met Miles and we became friends. I liked him a little at first. But the second I met Kai, Miles and I became just friends."
"Please tell me that you and Malikai, sorry, 'Kai', dated. Or at least screwed?" Cosette says hopefully and Vivian let out a breathy laugh. Her blonde haired friend is always nosey about Vivian's sex life.
