Sheena glanced briefly and worriedly at the passenger seat. Ethan was silent within the whole car ride. Hindi niya alam kung anong na sa isipan nito.

Ethan was thinking about the man and his wife. Hinuhukay niya ang kaniyang memorya pero hindi talaga niya maalala bakit sila pamilyar. His head is starting to ache again.

“Nandito na ta-” napatigil sa pagsasalita si Diana ng makita niya ang mga mata ni Ethan mula sa rearview mirror.

His eyes were glowing and they were golden yellow.

“Ethan your eyes...” Sheena said when she turned to look back.

Ethan was also stunned.

“Pasok sa loob ng bahay,” mahinahon na sinabi ni Diana, kahit na hindi niya mawari kung ano ang kaniyang madarama.

Ethan was so confused when the couple hauled him out of the car and pushed him inside the house. They forced him to sit on the sofa and started interrogating him.

“Ethan, tell us honestly, when did you shift?” Sheena asked, her voice was laced with concerned.

Ethan was stunned once again. “H-huh?”

“Tell us,” Diana said.

“... Last day of school?” Ethan said reluctantly.

“Sh-t. May nakakita ba?” kinakabahang tanong ni Diana.

“Si Alpas po,” sagot ni Ethan.

When realization hits him, he suddenly asked, “Wait, papaano niyo po nalaman?”

Nagkatinginan ang dalawa sa isa't isa.

Sheena sighed softly before saying, “That's because we are werewolves too.”

Diana wasn't as calm as her partner. “Wait, you shifted in front of Alpas?”

Ethan was dazed when he heard Sheena, but he nodded as an answer to Diana.

“I hope Alpas haven't told anybody yet,” Diana paced in front of the sofa.

Ethan bit the edge of his thumb anxiously and as if remembering something he spoke, “Nay, ma, may tanong po ako.”

“Go on,” Sheena said with her soft voice.

“Why do I have the urge to bite Alpas? Plus, he smell so good. When I was shifting, his scent is soothing the pain.”

Of course he didn't tell the part where in he wants to do something that involves exercising with the other male.

Diana stopped pacing and she stood frozen. Sheena's eyes were wide too. Parehas silang napatigil sa kanilang narinig.

“M-may mali po ba sa sinabi ko?” nalilitong tanong ni Ethan.

Sheena and Diana looked at each other, like they were talking without opening their mouth. Ethan don't have any idea that their conversation in through mind link is being chaotic.

Diana said, “Oh my god. Mate ni Ethan si Alpas?!”

Sheena said, “Kalma. We should be guiding him.”

“Nay? Ma?” tanong ni Ethan. Sumasakit pa rin ng kaunti ang kaniyang ulo.

“Alpas is your mate,” Sheena said directly. Hindi na siya nagpaligoy-ligoy pa.

Napasandal si Ethan sa sofa at bakas sa kaniyang mukha ang pagkalito.

Na-upo si Sheena sa tabi ni Ethan. “Ethan, all of us werewolves have mates. They are basically our soulmates, our other halves. Your mate's smell is tailored for your own liking. Most werewolves mark their mates the moment they have seen them. Then complete the process by you know...”
