A/N; I keep writing long ass chapters for this. Am I sorry? Nope.
TW; emotional moments, coming out, parent neglect, suggestive situations
Am I bold? I reach for his hand and slip my fingers between his while we walk back to my apartment. "How far away do you live?"
"Why? In a hurry?" I look at him blinking coyly. He gets flustered and his face gets red. "No I just uh.... Uhm. I wanted to know because... okay shit I don't have a good answer when you're looking at me like that."
"You intimidated by little old me? I'm flattered, sweetheart. Really." I chuckle under my breath and turn around to walk backwards, pulling his hand along with mine. He looks me up and down, shaking his head and smiling. "What?"
"Nothing. I'm just. Okay maybe I'm a little intimidated. I wasn't expecting you to drag me back to your apartment."
"It was a damn good kiss. What were you expecting?" I pull him down the street that leads to my apartment. Stopping momentarily to light a cigarette, offering him one as well. He accepts, and I light it for him.
"I'm not sure what I was expecting to be honest."That kiss confirmed everything for me. I'm into him. And he could completely destroy my life, and I would thank him for it.
I finish the cigarette right as we round the last corner to my apartment. "Before I invite you in, I need to know your last name."
"What? Why?" He chuckles and gives me a confused look. "Just need to know. You're gonna be in my house. My private piece of this world. The least you can do is properly introduce yourself, Stevie." I look up at him shyly. He smiles and scrunches up his face. "Harrington. It's Harrington."
"See was that so hard?" I place my finger on his nose. "Are you going to tell me yours?"
"Munson." I open the front door, offering to let him inside first. "After you, Harrington."
We enter the elevator and it starts to go up. I glance at Steve and he looks more nervous now, messing with his hair a lot. I place a finger under his chin and leave a soft kiss on his lips, backing him slowly into the wall of the elevator. His arms wrap around my shoulders and he pulls me closer. The elevator halts and I jump back, trying to catch my breath, running my hands across the front of my shirt to straighten my appearance out. But, no one gets onto the elevator? I must have pushed the wrong button?
No. I backed Steve into the elevator buttons. Oh my god. "I'm so sorry. I didn't realize." He laughs, "you're fine. Don't worry about it. That scared me too." I can't believe I just did that.
The elevator stops on my floor, and I lead him out and down the hall. "Okay you have to be kinda quiet because Robin lives right next door and if she hears us out here I'm never going to get her to leave." He nods and makes a motion like he's zipping his mouth shut. I unlock the front door and quickly as I can, pull Steve inside and lock it behind him.
Not fast enough. There's a knock. "Eddie why's your door locked let me iiiiin!"
"For fucks sake." I sigh quietly, and go unlock the door, and open it. "Robin I swear you have the worst possible timing."
"Why, am I interrupting something-" she pushes past me giving me a look and walks right into Steve. "Oh shit, hi" she looks at him up and down once, then over at me with a suspicious look. I smile awkwardly. "So like I said, Robin lives next door."
"I see that. Hi. Nice to see you again." Steve rubs the back of his neck and smiles sideways.
"You came all the way back here? Wait... Eddie..." she walks up to me and tries to talk in a quiet voice but it's a studio there's no possible way to talk quietly. "Did he come all the way back here to kiss you?"
