Part 31 - "But You Don't Love Me"

"Alexia, are you in your office? Finn is here looking for you."

"No, I am up in the VIP section on one of the couches you can send him up though. Thanks, Jake." She says holding up the love you sign with her left hand then ending her face time with Syd and Tony then closing out of the Viper network.

"Hey, baby," Finn says as he walks up the steps.

"Hi!" She flips her feet back down off the back of the couch and hops up, running over and pressing a kiss against his cheek.

Revealing the bouquet of roses that he was hiding behind his back, "Here you go."

Sticking out her bottom lip, "You didn't."

"Happy three-month anniversary." He wraps his arms around her tight and presses a kiss to her lips.

"What did I do to deserve you?" She asks as Finn picks up her backpack and hands her her shoes that she had kicked off while she worked upside down on the couch.

"You are the kindest and most loving woman I have ever met. As I always say, I don't think you could ever even hurt a fly, how could I have not fallen for you."

Alexia forces a smile. Yeah...not a fly. She's finding it really weird to spend so much time with someone who has no idea that she is anything but harmless. WalkThey walk down to the street Finn has an Uber waiting, "Chris and Reya invited us to go get pumpkins with them but I wanted to wait to ask you since it's our anniversary."

"Sounds like fun. I should probably get a few hours of sleep first though." The car speeds off into the crowded afternoon streets of Manhattan.

*Ding*

[Bella] I just wanted to say thank you again. I decided I will be going to England next year

I am so happy to hear that, if you need anything, don't hesitate to call or text me : ) I have more miles than I or any of my staff could ever use on my business card, and am happy to share with you or your brother

Letting her head fall against Finn's shoulder, "Bella's going to England next year, isn't that crazy?" She asks in a groggy voice barely able to keep her eyes open.

"Who's Bella...? Baby?" Realizing she's fallen asleep he turns off her phone and drops it back in her bag. The Uber rolls to a stop outside his apartment building after a twenty-minute drive. He gently wakes her up and helps Alexia out of the car. Letting her tired body lean against him as they make their way to the elevator. Reaching his apartment she collapses down on the bed. Tucking her in, he places a soft kiss on her forehead he whispers "I love you." Then closes the shades and shuts the door softly behind him.

Alexia's eyes snap open.

He didn't just say that did he? She panics as she rolls over pulling the covers over her head. "Shit."

Time has moved so slowly, it feels like she has been laying there, staring at the ceiling cursing herself for getting so close to someone she knows she will never be able, to be honest with. When she hears the sound of the front door opening and closing it pulls her attention to the outside of the bedroom. "Yea, she's asleep though so be quiet." Finn whispers as Reya throws the door open, flicking on the light she rips the shades open and starts yelling, "Wake up bitch, I wanna go get a pumpkin!" She plops down onto the bed beside Alexia.

That wasn't quiet.

"Mmm." She whines, pulling the blanket higher over her face as she tries to block out the light. "I'm tired."
