KABANATA 12

The sun was about to set and Alpas felt the breeze of the summer night caressing his cheeks. He smiled while closing his eyes.

“Kuya, huwag mong ilalabas ang ulo mo sa window. Delikado,” sambit ni Yahree.

Alpas chuckled. “Okay.”

Pagdating nila sa bahay ni Alpas, nagpaalam na siya sa kaniyang kapatid.

“Ingat sa pag-uwi, Yahree. Salamat sa paghahatid,” sabi niya habang nakangiti.

“Bisitahan mo 'ko ulit ah? Laging wala sila mama sa bahay,” sabi ni Yahree.

“Okay,” sabi ni Alpas habang kumakaway.

Pinanood niya na maka-alis ang sasakyan ni Yahree hanggang sa mawala na ito sa kaniyang paningin. Binuksan niya ang pinto at pumasok. The house really feel different now. Back then, he is used to be alone. Now, without Ethan, it feels like something is missing.

Napabuntong-hinga na lamang siya at tumungo sa kaniyang kwarto. He almost jumped in fright when he saw a lump on his bed. Marahan siyang naglakad patungo sa gilid ng Kama habang pabilis nang pabilis ang tibok ng kaniyang puso.

He saw that almost Ethan’s whole body was covered with his blanket, only his messy hair and closed eyes  were peeking out. Alpas stared at the long eyelashes and for a few seconds he was lost at what to do.

Alpas thought, “Bakit dito siya natutulog?”

Dahan dahan siyang umupo sa tabi ni Ethan. Hindi niya ipagkakaila na na-miss niya ito nang sobra. Inunat niya ang kaniyang braso ngunit nag-aalinlangan pa ito. He took a deep breath before combing Ethan’s hair with his fingers.

Ethan’s eyelashes trembled but Alpas didn't notice it. Dahil alerto si Ethan, nagising siya noong marinig niya ang pagbagsak ng pintuan kaninang pumasok si Alpas. Kahit na gising siya, hindi niya pinahalata iyon. He is still closing his eyes and enjoying his mate's touch.

“I miss you, Ethan,” malambing na bulong ni Alpas.

Ethan’s heart throbbed and his ears were turning red.

Alpas bent down to kiss Ethan’s forehead and his closed eyes. 

Ethan smiled and thought, “Sweet pala ‘to kapag natutulog ako.”

Ethan was stunned and quickly wiped his smile when Alpas removed the blanket from his face. Ethan felt Alpas’ soft lips against his. That's it, Ethan can't pretend anymore. He kissed Alpas back, harder.

Alpas eyes widened and sat bolt upright in shock. Ethan chuckled, he also sat and leaned against the headboard.

“I miss you too, love. So much,” Ethan said with a smile.

“You...” Alpas said while pointing at him and he was blushing.

Ethan held Alpas’ finger that was pointing at him and he caressed his knuckles with his thumb.

“Come here, don't sit too far away,” Ethan patted his lap with his free hand.

Nag-init lalo ang mukha at bumilis ang tibok ng puso ni Alpas sa mga haplos, titig, at mga salitang lumalabas sa bibig ni Ethan.

“Do I have the permission to hug my mate?” Ethan whispered while looking expectantly at Alpas.

Alpas couldn't resist Ethan and he nodded his head slightly. Ethan smiled, he leaned forward and hugged Alpas. He lifted the other male and placed him on his lap.
