*Eleven*

I stepped back into the crowded room, my eyes drifted over the people in the room.

Finally they landed on Killian who looked uncomfortable next to Josh, it looked like they had been talking when two bimbos walked up.

Josh's usual sweet face was twisted into a scowl as he stared down at Amber and her friend, she was chattering happily playing with her hair and batting her eye lashes at the boys.

I walked closer keeping a my face blank I reached out tapping on Ambers shoulder, all four of their attention shifted to me, the guys expressions eased, while Amber sneered at me "what do you want Slut?"

A sweet smile lifted my lips and before even I realized what was happening, my fist swung up slamming into her nose, her high pitched wail sounded through the room, her little friends eyes widened in surprise sputtering words as she backed up.

Amber lifted her hand up to her bloody nose, her screeching getting louder by the second, but I honestly didn't care, so without another word I turned and walked out, I knew Killian would catch up to me.

Just a few seconds later an arm was slung over my neck, "nice hit" was all Killian said before he shoved a familiar looking manila envelope into my hands.

"How did you get this?" I asked as we kept walking down the almost empty street.

I felt Killian shrug "that guy Josh said you should read it, he said something about talking with the lady, he thinks she wasn't there to hurt you"

Hmm, thoughts filled my mind of the blonde haired Paige, Murray publishing, and a letter from my dead mother.

With a sigh I pushed the thoughts into the back of my mind, then with a snap of my fingers I sent the manila envelope into my room back in the forest.

Killian had pulled me between some buildings as he lifted me up and started running to Kai's place.

When we got there he set me by the front door, I smiled up at Killian, throwing a shield up around the trailer, then i knocked on the door.

I heard the knob jiggle as the door was pulled open, innocent brown eyes peeked up as me before she launches into my arms "Den your back, where is Emi?"

I giggled stepping into the home, "she is with some people, I came to get you guys"

After a few seconds I heard Rosie walk into the room a smile on her face when she saw me.

"Arden, where have you been Rory said Emi was-" she cut off mid sentence as her eyes shifted behind me, the blood seemed to drain from her face as she launched herself forward grabbing Rory from my arms, a shocked cry left the girls lips causing me to frown.

"Woah Rosie, be careful" I spoke up confused.

"How could you Arden" Rosie shook still pail as she looked at Killian, who had now placed his hand on my shoulder.

"Arden I thought you said they were human?" My confusion grew stronger as I heard Rosie yell for Kai.

A few seconds later he came into the room, his nose wrinkled in disgust when his eyes landed on Killian.

"Vampire" Rosie whispered as a snarl ripped through Kai's throat, launching himself over me he landed on Killian in a struggle.

Now Rory had started to scream in fear, my eyes widened as Killians voice filled my mind "they aren't human Arden, and I wont hurt your friend, please get him off"

I looked over at Rosie who just stared "Rosie, what the hell are you guys doing, he is with me!"

Rosie hardly looked at me causing me to groan in frustration, I walked over to the mass of men "Kai let him go now of I will forcefully remove you myself"

Again I was ignored, Rory was still screaming, in turn making me upset, so I reached down grabbing the back of Kai's shirt letting a bit of power loose I pulled him off of Killian.

A crash was heard, then a groan of pain, I looked at Kai only to see a bit of the wall plaster crumbling around him, oops a bit to much strength I let loose.

With a sigh Killian got up as I looked back at Rosie a frown on my face, "Shame on you Rosie, I brought him here, you should know I would never put you in danger!"

A bit of color returned to her face as she kept her eyes down, I could tell something was off, "what are you guys?"

This time Rosie's head snapped up looking me in the eyes, "I am human, but Kai and Rory are the last dragon shifters left."

With that all of the air went rushing from my lungs in surprise.
