"Wake up! Wake up!" I hear someone shout into my ear.
"Go away!" I yell at them.
"But you're going to be late if you don't!" They yell back.
"What do you mean?! It's only 6!" I yell and wait for a response but don't get one and I shoot up immediately shoot up. "what time is it?!" I look over to see Ryan on all fours with his face now only a few centimeters away.
"I-It's midnight" he stutters and blushes but still looks into my eyes. I giggle at his cuteness but then get angry because it 12AM! Freaking 12AM! I am going to kill him.
I start to try and push him off me but he goes down for a hug and holds me.
"I'll never let go!" He shouts and laughs and so do I.
"Oh but I'll make you!" I say and I push Ryan off the bed and we both fall onto the floor with him on the bottom and me on the top.
I smile a little and he does too. His smile fades and I see his eyes shift to my lips and back to my eyes. My smile starts to fade and he starts to lean in closer.
"Guys! It's modnight! What are you doing up?" Deb suddenly walks into the room. Me and Ryan pull away and Deb starts to laugh looking at how flush we both were.
"You guys!" She calms down from her laughing high "you either need to go to sleep or do whatever you were doing.." She chuckles and closes the door but before its completely shut I hear he whisper something the the fact of "use protection" and I start cracking up.
"What are you laughing at?" Ryan asks with a smile on his face.
"Your mother!" I try to say but end up failing by just laughing harder.
"You're weird" he rolls his eyes. "But come on! I have something to show you!"
And with that he gets up and pulls me with him. We walk down stairs and he pulls me out into the back yard. I don't think I have ever been back here. It is beautiful!
It looks like it is apart of the forest. There is even a trail that leads into it with stone steps and a bridge going over part of the pond that leads to the a beautiful waterfall that falls into the pool that makes it looks so real. Over to the right there is a hammock with light over the branches that lit it up.
I walked over to the left because I see a cable going between the branches with a clear path under it. I follow the path and see a huge natural lake that is a beautiful blue and I see that the cable leads to a tree house. There is a swing on one of the branches that goes over the water.
"Do you like it?" I hear Ryan's voice from behind me. I turn around with a huge smile on my face.
"Like is an understatement! I love it! It's so beautiful!" I say and he comes over and takes my hand and drags me to the tree house.
He climes up into the tree house and I follow him. When I get up he helps me through the entrance. I look around and see that it has toys and board games. It's really cute for a little kid.
"This was mine when I was little." Ryan says.
"Really it's cute! Did you have a lot of friends?" I ask him.
"Eh, I had a few" he says "oh! I wanted to show you something you will probably like." he walks over to a hole in the side of the tree house that leads to a balcony almost. There is a rope and a circular thing on the bottom of it.
Ryan gets on and pushes off and he zips down the cable. It's a zip line! All of a sudden a rope stats moving and a few seconds later the seat for the zip line is there. I walk over and I get on it just like Ryan did and I start to move.
This is so much fun! I zip down the cable and I start laughing. I reach the end and I come to a stop and I loose my grip on the rope that I am holding and I fall onto the ground and I laugh more.
"Are you okay?!" Ryan comes rushing over to me.
"Yea, I'm, good" I say in between laughing.
"Come on! I have something to show you!" Ryan says while he helps me up and he pulls me in the direction of the stone stairs into his Mom's garden. He pulls me over to a side where there is a little gap that is barley even noticeable if he didn't bring he here. We go into the trees and end up on a path.
We walk down the winding path in the forest. There is bridges because of rivers and trees everywhere! It really is beautiful!
Finally we come to this little house thingy. It is like a camp ground here. It is a little camper almost but it doesn't have wheels. it has a front door and a window.
"This is amazing!" I say.
"Thanks" Ryan blushes and then his face turns sad "my dad built it when I was little and he showed only me. No one knows about this, not when my mom"
I turn towards him "Really?" I ask "then why are you showing me?"
"Well because I wanted to ask you something" he says his cheeks getting more red.
"And what may that be?" I ask with a smile.
"Um, well, you see I was wondering if you wanted to go on-" he was cut off by a lash of lightning and the rumbling thunder.
I love thunder storms! But how is there even one in the middle of winter? All of a sudden Ryan start shaking and whimpering.
"Are you okay?!" I ask going over and putting my hands on his shoulders. There is another crack of thunder. He just stands there and shakes.
"Then let's go into the house. Is it locked?" I ask him and he shakes his head. I pull him over and into the house. I bring him over to the love seat that is in the living room I'm guessing.
"Are you okay? Talk to me Ryan!" I ask him but he doesn't speak he just whimpers and shivers. I sit down next to him and grab him and I hold him. He stops whimpering and his shaking starts to calm down.
"It's okay" I whisper into his ear "there is nothing to be afraid of! I'm right here"
"I'm sorry" he whispers "I just don't like thu-" he was cut off by thunder, and he whimpers "thunder storms"
"Why? Or is it just a fear?" I ask him slightly rubbing his arm to comfort him.
"Well, you know that I have no father right?" He asks me, his face has so much sadness in it.
"Yea, I kinda guessed since he hasn't been home" I say calling Ryan's house my home.
"Well you see, when I was 10 my dad was walking from the car to the house carrying my baby sister" he pauses and takes a deep breath "there was a thunder storm, and somehow they were struck" he chokes on the last word but takes a deep berth and continues. "They both died on impact"
"Oh my god! I'm so sorry!" I say and pull him closer. "Even if my father was struck I would be devastated"
"Wait you have a dad?" He asks shocked.
"Yea, he is on a 'business' trip" I say putting air quoted around 'business' "I don't know when he will be back, he is the reason why I moved here. My mom yelled at him to let us stay in one place for at least a year"
"Oh, that sucks and good at the same time" Ryan smiles slightly.
"Why do you say that?"
"Well it sucks because you never see your dad, but good because if you didn't come here, I wouldn't have met you" he blushes a little and smiles shyly. I smile at him and lean my head on his shoulder.
"Well I'm glad I met you" I say smiling up at him.
"I'm glad I met you too" he says and puts his arm around me. We sit there in silence listening to the rain hit the roof. The soothing sound ended up putting me to sleep.
