"Yea yea relax"
Julie was my roommate, and she was convinced we were gonna arrive late to our friend groups meetup, we were all going to a bar to get, quote on quote, drunk as fuck.
"Ace Julie! Over here!"
Our friend Haley was calling us over, the other were with her too. Tyler and Alex were sitting on a couch, just talking till they noticed us and went over.
We all found a table, while Julie went up to get the first round of drinks for us. She came back down with her hands full of beer. They all started just cheering and wooing at her as she placed the drinks on the table. We mostly just spend the night getting more and more drunk, and at the end everyone was fucking drunk. Other then me, I was pretty sober.
It was getting really late now, and I told them that we should stop and go home. Some agreed, and some disagreed. We did all go home though. Julie was the most drunk of them all, ofcouse. I almost had to carry her all the way, then drag her up the stairs to our apartment. I threw her in her bed and went to the kitchen, grabbed a glass of water to sober up a little bit more. I checked in on Julie too, she was snoring and sleeping like a rock. I decided to go out for a little walk, since I couldn't sleep. I had a pretty bad headache. I went out the door, and down the stairs. It was really dark outside by now, and it was freezing. There were not a lot of people out by now, I don't know why there would be anyone out now at midnight either. After I had walked for some time now, I noticed a shop I hadn't seen before, I had heard there was opening a new coffee shop soon, just never knew where it was gonna be. I thought about it for a second and then went in. I walked into the shop, the moment I stepped inside I got hit by a wave of heat, there was much warmer in there then outside. I look around and a guy walks up towards the front counter, and oh boy was he handsome. I instantly stopped the moment I saw him, and he looked over and smiled at me. I got my act together and walked up to him at the counter.
"Hello, may I take your order?"
"Oh yea yea yea yea ofcouse"
I stopped for a secound, where did my ability to speak normally go?
"Alright then, what would you like?" He had the warmest expression.
"Do you have anything...sweet..?"
Shit, I had no clue about what I wanted.
"Ofcouse we do! We have some different once"
"Just, uhmmm, you know what? You decide"
"That's not something I get to do often" he chuckled after his sentence. God he was pretty.
"Thank you"
I went to sit down at a table, it felt kinda lonely sitting here by myself honestly. I pulled out my phone while I waited, a minute after the guy came down towards my table with the coffee in his hand.
"Here you go"
"Thank you, hope it's good"
"I hope so too"
God I really wanted to talk to him more. I tried to when something ruined it for me, typical. My phone was ringing, it was Julie. I was gonna just decline her call, since I had no idea how to get his attention again without seeming weird. Sadly he walked away when my phone rang, he probably didn't want to be in the way. I sighed and took the phone.
"ACE WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU?!"
"Jeez relax Julie, I'm just getting coffee"
"COFFEE?! WHY IN THE WORLD ARE YOU GETTING COFFEE AT MIDNIGHT, AND DRUNK?!"
"Julie, I'm not drunk, only you are"
"GET YOUR ASS HOME RIGHT THIS INSTANT YOUNG MAN"
"Julie, let me be in peace for a goddamn minute, go back to sleep you're still drunk as fuck"
She frowned and hung up. Jesus Christ Julie. I looked over at the employee, he was kinda looking a little shocked. Could he hear Julie's yelling?! I was embarrassed after that and drank my coffee pretty fast. I went up to pay for the coffee, even though I really didn't want to. How in the world would this guy wanna talk to me after hearing my crazy friend? I tried to hurry.
"So who called, a girlfriend?"
"God no, she would be a horrible person to date"
"They sounded pretty pissed thought"
"She's drunk as fuck and I didn't tell her I left"
"Then you should get home to her"
"Sadly, you're right"
I quickly walked out of there, and on my way out he yelled at me to come again soon.
