Laurie stares up at the good doctor in confusion, thinking heavily on what he just said.

"He-... he doesn't have any more family. They either died in that car crash or he killed them! I would know, my parents were close friends with the Myers back in the day before I was even adop-" Laurie goes silent, her eyes widening and filling with tears. She tilts her head down at the ground, looking very traumatized. The cold pavement stains red with her blood, and her face contorts in pain as she sobs. Hating her very existence.

"It's- I'm- please tell me I'm NOT-" Laurie's eyes search Loomis's eyes desperately, crying more every moment he doesn't answer her pleas.

Loomis avoids her gaze, frowning. He speaks slowly and carefully.

"We need to get you somewhere safe. He won't stop until you're dead."

Laurie hiccups and turns her head away to sob gently, laying flat on the concrete and shaking her head in refusal.

"Just let me die. Just- just let me die.. I can't live knowing this creature is related to me! That he's destroyed all these families- in his pursuit of me," She cries.

"NO!" Loomis yells suddenly, helping the poor girl back up onto her feet, keeping a hold of her.

"WHERE IS HE? YOU MUST TELL ME! IS HE IN THE HOUSE?" Loomis screams.

Laurie screams in pain due to her shoulder and is suddenly concerned that the doctor might not be any safer than her brother.

"Last I saw he was in the backyard! That's all I know now please let me go!" Laurie pulls away from him and moves to sit in the police car, leaving the door open to watch around her, just in case. The October rain freezing her to her core as she begins shivering. Her adrenaline crashing causing her to feel every ache and twinge of pain. Her head lolls around on her neck and it's obvious she slips into unconsciousness.

Loomis nods, taking a moment to slip his coat off his shoulder and slipping it across Laurie's body before shutting the door. He turns and jogs into the house cautiously, his gun at the ready and aimed. Six bullets in the chamber. Six shots. One Boogeyman. He checks the bottom floor sparsely before noticing the wet drips leading a trail from the kitchen up to the stairs, beginning his slow ascent, eyes sharp as ever.. every shadow a suspect. He's spent the last 15 years studying the Shape, he underestimates no shadow no matter how small. His steps so light the ancient stairs barely give a creak under his weight.
