Unexpected (Ace Frehley)

I look over to my side, seeing Ace still sleeping. I don't know if he used yesterday, but i don't assume so. I make my way to the bathroom, stepping in the shower. Right now i just feel guilty. I never meant to hit him, i love him, with whole my heart.

I step out of the shower, heading downstairs, getting ready some pain meds for Ace. A weird feeling passing over me, like somebody's watching. I shrug it off and dial Alexa's number, witch she does not awnser. It's still pretty dark outside and i look further into the distance of my house, seeing a tall black figur, i blink my eyes, seeing if it's really there, but it's gone now. There's still a weird feeling, goosebumps running down my body. I trie my best to ignore it, i put some alice cooper on, hoping the feeling goes away.

I finish my breakfast, to scared to make a step, really feeling like i'm being watched. I put my plate in the sink and swallow, hoping i swallow my fear too. I run up the stairs, getting into the bedroom and locking the door behind, still trying to be quiet. I'm not going to leave this room, not until Ace is awake.

A couple of hours pass as i sit with my back against the locked door. Am i going insane? Is it all in my head? I can't take it anymore. Ace's eyes open and he looks at me confused. "Hey Sav, what are you doing?" "I'm so fucking scared". He stands up walking towards me. "What's wrong?" The goosebumps going over my body again. "I feel like i'm being watched downstairs". He kneels to the floor beside me, placing a hand on my shoulder. "Since when?" I hold on to his arm, making sure that he's really there. "Well it all started last night when you came into the room, but i thought it wasn't you, bu-" "what, i've never been in your room last night". I feel the blood drain from my face. "Tell me that's a joke, if not, that person has been watching me this whole morning". My heart pounding out of my chest, as also the blood draines from Ace's face. He paces around the room with his hands in his hair, pulling on his clothes. "You need to tell me what happened". He whispers to me. "I was up early this morning, took a shower, headed downstairs, put pain meds on the counter for you and thats when i started feeling watched, i tried to calm my nerves by putting on music, but i saw something, i blinked to make sure it was really there and then it was gone, i made breakfast, feeling so fucking scared and i just ran up to the room, locking it behind me. That was three hours ago". I whisper back at him, he looks over at the clock and back at me. "We need to get out of the house, or use the phone". I shake my head, "we can't use the phone, i don't want you to go downstairs, we'll use the window". I jump to my feet, opening the window, looking down at the distance. I open the door of the balcony, looking around me. "Savanna someone needs to stay here". "No, if he wanted to rob us, he would've already done it. I think he wants you". "Why would he want me". "He was looking at me, if he wanted to kill me, he would've already done it". "Sav, if we don't go back and he sees us running thro the garden we're fucked either way or could have a broken foot. We just need to pretend like we don't know what's going on. Then we head out the door to the neigboors and use their phone". He's right Savanna, just listen to him. Take a deep breath. I nod, giving him a hug. "Don't take the meds, say you already feel good, he could've done something with it". He nods as i close the window and unlock the bedroom door, heart pounding in my throat. Ace holds my hand as we walk downstairs. "I got you some medication". The words leave my mouth as i feel watched again, not only by Ace. "Oh i already feel a little better, i don't really need it". He fakes a smile, wich i trie to return as i give him a kiss. My hands shake as i give him a bowl of cerial. The minutes slowly pass as he tries his best to act normal, i catch a glimpse of a figure in the corner of my eye. "You excited to go to Peter?" I ask trying not to make it obvious we know what's going on. "Yeah, we should hurry tho, he wanted to go out for lunch". I nod as i clean his bowl. It feels like hundred years have passed as i grab the handle of the frontdoor, we make our way out of it and relieve passes over me. He grabs my hand as we walk down the path. "I saw it". Ace says, looking directly in my eyes. "I saw it too".

We went to the neighboors who let us call the police and we now wait until they show up, we explained the story to them, luckily they understand.

They kick down the door, searching the house. "I'm sorry, but we can't find anything". I shake my head. "No, there's someone here, we both saw it". My head screams at me for forgetting something. "Have you checked the toilet?" Ace says, looking desprate. They head to the hallway, opening the door of the toilet. I knew it, but i would've never guessed. A man with a fucked up look in his eyes, get's pulled out of the toilet. I don't know what would've happened if we skipped that and i don't want to know.
