The air was still, no other wolves to be seen. Bramble and his daughter, Ivyleaf, sneaked out of the grassy den. Ivy had never seen live plants on account that her overprotective mother never let any of the pups out of the den. But Bramble knew Ivy wanted to explore more than anything.

She was a curious pup with an insanely good memory, she remembered everything her father told her. Her nostrils flared wildly with all the overwhelming scents in the forest, sniffing every last plant with enthusiasm. Bramble kept his ears up, ready to catch even the smallest hint of danger. He wasn't as overprotective as his mate, but he was still cautious roaming the woods at night. He heard the distant howl of the Alpha Pack, he could make out some individual voices, one wolf was baying louder than the others. The Alpha, Lightning, she was the Alpha Alpha, she controlled the Alpha Pack, the pack that lead all the packs. Lightning wasn't just the Alpha of her pack, she was the Alpha of all five River's Edge packs. Suddenly a smell washed over Bramble, he barked at Ivy, beckoning her to his side. He recognized the scent, fox. Vicious creatures, though they were no match for wolves they still had sharp teeth and claws, ready for fighting. Bramble readied himself for an attack, but nothing came. Ivy sighed and prodded the soil with her paw.

" We are going back to the den. No questions asked." He decided. Bramble sighed, he knew Ivy was upset. " Don't worry,  we'll be in the forest again soon." He reassured his pup.
