Wicked Game
Once you and Austin had gone through a couple different scenes, there was knock at the door, one of the producers calling you back to set. To your shock, it had apparently been multiple hours since Baz had sent you and Austin off together. The minutes seemed to have flown by as you and Austin tried to build up your chemistry as Elvis and Priscilla. Instead you had mostly spent the time building your personal relationship with the man, but you figured that wasn't a bad place to start. Once you had grown comfortable in one another's presence, you would be able to build off of that. That was probably the reason Baz had given you some time to do so.
The team had reassembled at the 68 special set, Baz wanting to have everyone present to read through the script for this section of filming. You didn't have to do too much considering you had no lines in this particular scene, but it was good to see everyone in character. Eventually they wrapped that up and you were sent off to have some more outfits fitted correctly. This consisted of you putting on various different items of clothing and standing still while sections of the outfit were pinned in place, ready to be edited at a later date.
By the end of the day you were exhausted, happy to have had your makeup and heavy wig removed and to be back in your own clothing. Before you could go anywhere though, you had to check in with Baz, who was still working on the set with Austin. They were seated, discussing Austin's performance when you knocked against the open door. They both lifted their heads to see who had come in.
"(Y/n), come in darling." Baz gestured for you to head over.
"I hope I'm not interrupting anything." You said as you entered the set, meeting them by the stage where they sat.
"Not at all, we were just talking about the performance." Baz said, voice sounding a little raspy.
It had been a long day for you all, given that it was the first official day of production.
You shared a lingering look to Austin, giving him a sweet smile as you greeted each other. He was out of his Elvis attire, back in his white shirt and black jeans, hair swept back and face free of makeup. How a man could be so effortlessly attractive, you wanted to know. Lord have mercy.
"How was it?" Baz asked.
"Yeah, all good. We got through a couple outfits, I'll just have to try them on again once they've been sewn." You reported back, legs aching a little as you stood before them.
"Good, good. I never asked you how you and Austin got on. Did you manage to go over any material?"
The question caught you off guard a little, your mind immediately going to the kisses you and Austin had shared. Flicking your gaze up to Austin, you felt yourself blush a little, watching as the man bit down a smirk.
"Yeah, we went over a couple scenes." You uttered, trying your best to sound neutral.
"Anything you want to add to that?" Baz's voice was skeptical as he raised a brow at you, though there was a little smirk forming on his lips.
"No?" It came out as a question, feeling a little like you were being put under fire, a little nervous laugh falling from your lips.
"I think what (y/n) is trying to say, is that it went well." Austin cut in for you, fighting back a laugh.
"Well, I'd hope so. I feel I'm about to be told you guys struggled to work together." Baz said, his tone seeming a little disappointed, but in a sly kind of way.
"Not at all. I like to think we got along pretty well." Austin said as he smirked up at you.
I'll say.
