(Things in bolded brackets mean that this might be a little disgusting, so u don't have to read it)
Lucy's POV
"Luc, thanks for the drop off" Luke thanked me "No prob" I had just dropped off all the band members at the Orpheum, for our sound check.
Reggie fist bumped me. while the rest of the members were still going through their drivers test, I was the band's driver. "Ready guys?"
Alex asked, trying to keep his excitement inside, failing, but still trying.
My name is Lucy Peters, I'm Reggie's cousin and a member of 'Sunset Curve'. Reggie spent a lot of time at my house especially when his parents were having one of their epic arguments.
"Yup, this night is going to change our lives" Luke nodded, and everyone all smiled in agreement, we were ready.
I opened the Orpheum doors "After You" I joked, I went in as soon as the boys did. The LA smells disappeared as soon as the door closed.
I caught the boys trying to lift Alex's drums up onto the stage, "Guys, go up the sides, not up, that's never going to go well"
They changed direction. Alex sighed in relief, he cared for his drums, plus we couldn't let anything happen to them, not today, the most important day of our lives!
When we were done setting up, we started the sound check playing: Now or never. It was going to be our grand finale, so we needed to practise it more because it's what the audience remember the most, or at least that's what Luke says.
I play the rhythm guitar, and i'm the second lead singer, after Luke, Luke is the electric guitar of our band and lead singer, Alex is the drummer, Reggie is our bassist, and Bobby is our backup vocals, and keyboardist.
Together we were unstoppable.
"Alex, you were smoking!" Reggie complimented Alex enthusiastically
"Oh no, I was only warming up, you guys were the ones on fire" "Could you just own your awesomeness for once?" I pleaded "All right, i was killing it" "yeah you were!" Luke shouted loudly, he was good like that, we got along really well.
"Okay, well, i'm thinking we fuel up before the show, I'm thinking street dogs" Reggie was always hungry. "Ooh" Alex replied "Yes" Luke agreed "oh come on guy, you know I don't trust that disgusting thing of a sausage" "Come on Lou, just this once?" When Luke uses his puppy-dog eyes it's almost impossible to say no. "Fine." "Yes!"
"Hey Bobby, where are you going?" Reggie caught our attention "I'm good" He said clearly trying to catch the attention of the pretty women wiping the table.
"vegetarian, I could never hurt an animal"
"You guys are really good!" She complimented us "Thank you" Luke replied "I see a lot of bands, been in a couple myself, I was really feeling it" She said clearly talking about our sound check.
"That's what we do this for, I'm Luke by the way" "Hi, I'm Reggie" "Alex" "I'm Lucy, Reggie's cousin" I extended my hand, she shook it. "Bobby" "Nice meeting you guys, i'm Rose" "Oh uh, here our demo, and a T-shirt size beautiful"
Reggie was getting a bit carried away. "Thanks, i'll make sure not to wipe the table with this one" "Oh, good call, Whenever they get wet, they just kinda fall apart in your hands" Alex needs to work on his marketing skills.
"Don't you guys have to go get hot dogs?" Bobby asked skeptically "Yeah, he had a hamburger for lunch" Luke said, we snicker a little.
"Now that's what I'm talking about!" Luke told us.
"The smell of sunset boulevard?" Alex asked, we all chuckled, no-one wanted to smell sunset boulevard.
"No. It's what that girl said there tonight. About our music, all right? It's like an energy. It connects us with people. They can feel us when we play. I want that connection with everybody." Luke always had these little speeches every once in a while.
"Then we're gonna need more T-shirts" that gave us another chuckle.
"Let's go guys" "Ladies" Reggie said, handing a T-shirt to two women, I rolled my eyes "Reggie, wait!" "Oh my God. Reggie!" "Oh my God! Hi, it's me!"
"Man... I can't wait until we eat someplace where the condiments aren't served out of the back of an Oldsmobile"
'Ahh, we'll be famous in less than 2 hours now!' I grabbed a hot dog out of the container. I put the money on top of the 'Sam'n'Ella's' rusty old car they use.
Alex talked to the owner then came and sat next to us on an old couch. We all took a bite of our hot dogs "That's a new flavour" Alex says "Chill man, street dogs haven't killed us yet"
Ugh I've only taken one bite and this is disgusting. I drop it in the bin. The guys finish theirs (somehow) and we head back to the orpheum.
"Luc, wait." I turn around and see the guys leaning on a building. "Are you guys okay?" "Yeah" Alex says, their breathing rapidly. "Oookay?" I say, clearly not buying what they were saying.
We pause for a bit, then we keep walking in silence for about 10 minutes before i hear a 'THUMP'
I turn around for the second time tonight and see all three boys, Luke, Alex and Reggie, on the ground, clutching their stomachs I run to them, but i step back a bit.
They're... vomiting, 'what did they eat...?' (I see a bit of something familiar:) 'Street dogs!'
I pull out my phone and call 911 "Hello?" the voice asks from the other side "Umm hi," I say fidgeting with my hair, unlike my out-going cousin, I was very nervous of talking to strangers "I need an ambulance at sunset boulevard, you'll know it when you see it."
I walk to them, and wait.
