Tanoshii stared at the announcement board in shock. It stated that everyone in her class of 30 had to get into a band for a giant event. She didn't have many friends, and she was off sick one day. So she missed a lot. She had a taste in electronic music and dubstep, how the hell can she get into a band? Whilst she was lost in thought, two hands grabbed her shoulders lightly. She jumped and spun round with her hand out, slapping the person. Until she realised.
"Ouch!"
"T-Tokoro?!"
"Calm down, I was just gonna surprise you-"
"You idiot! I was busy thinking!"
"Oh come on, Tanoshii. Why are you always so... Aggressive towards me?" He stood up.
"I'm not aggressive!"
"Remember that time you high kicked me?"
"... Well yes but-"
"The time you smacked me with a baseball bat?"
"..."
"Why are you so violent?"
"Uh... I'm sorry Tomoko. Please forgive me!" She pleaded. He smirked.
"Well I don't forgive you-"
*KICK*
"WHY THE HELL NOT?!"
"BECAUSE YOU DID IT AGAIN, YOU TWIT!"
"ARE YOU INSULTING MY INTELLIGENCE?"
"YES! BECAUSE YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW THAT I AM BRITISH SO YOU MAKE AMERICAN JOKES TO ME AND THINK I'LL UNDERSTAND!"
"... You're British?"
"Yes, and I'm sick of nobody knowing that."
"Hey Tomoko, what's the band thing about?"
"Oh, everyone's grouping up. I'm with Jason, Nathan and Brew."
"Lemme guess, you're doing a boyband performance with guitars and keyboards."
"Ah, you know me so well," he smiled, getting closer. "However, we're using drums too."
"O-Oh! Well that's great!"
"Who will you group up with?"
"... I dunno."
"Well there's six people that haven't got a group yet, if you wanna make one with them."
"Who?"
"There's Jazzuko Moinu, Ponia Danbey, Classica Harpstring, Rockii Starstu, Hina Dansuba and Psychedeli Zoneou."
"... Classica isn't in a band?"
"She turned down every offer so far, so good luck trying!" He laughed, walking away. Tanoshii was stumped; she didn't know any of these girls but she did know Classica. And it didn't surprise her that Classica wasn't in a band. She was adored by all, but prefers to go solo. Likes to do her own thing. And she was going to get her!
She waddled up the stairs nervously and looked at the library door. Her confidence was getting small and she was unsure if she wanted to recruit Classica. She was very... egotistical. And despite being a sweet person, she's passive aggressive to people that annoy her. But regardless, Tanoshii opened the blue door. There she was, sat down reading a book. As always. She looked up.
"Can I help you?"
"Yes you can! By joining me and helping me recruit a ban-"
"Sorry, I don't want to join a band."
"Why not? Your ego need some work?"
"..."
"You really think you're the best in the world but others can shine lights on you! You could easily join!"
"..."
"I bet half of my bank account that you'll refuse!"
"Ugh, you just won't give up, will you?" Tanoshii nodded. Classica closed the book and put it back onto the shelf.
"Fine, I'll join. Only for the money though."
"Ahah! Got you!"
"Whatever, now who else is in the band?"
"... Nobody. However, I'm gonna recruit Jazzuko Moinu, Ponia Danbey, Rockii Starstu, Hina Dansuba and Psychedeli Zoneou. What do you think?"
"... Fine, let's go. You know where to find them?"
"Haha, no."
"Jazzuko's in the garden, Ponia's in her extra French class, Rockii's probably arguing with her parents on the phone, Hina's probably on the rooftop doing cringe dances and I have no clue where Psychedeli is. Probably high or something."
"Hmm, okay then let's go get Jazzuko first!" Tanoshii went downstairs with Classica and saw Jazzuko sitting at a garden table with her bunny.
"Hey Jazzuko jacuzzi jakawakajakawaka jalapeño! Can you join out band?" She looked up confused.
"She only recognises proper language." Explained Classica. "Greetings, Jazzuko Moinu. Would you consider joining our band for the music event?"
"... Of course. I can join if Mamoru can."
"Who might that be?" Jazzuko lifted her bunny plush. Classica nodded.
"Okay, he can join too."
"That's nice," said Jazzuko, standing up. "I'd love to join your band.
"Great, let's go." Said Tanoshii. The next place to go to was Ponia's extra French class. She went in and everyone stared. Including Ponia.
"Ponia pneumonia ponya. I want you to join my band!"
"... If you say it in French, I'll do it."
"... I don't know any."
"I'll start you off. S'il vous plait..."
"S'il vous plait... Join our band."
"That's English."
"S'il vous plait... Escucha música."
"That's Spanish for listen to music."
"OKAY MS BILINGUAL, I DON'T KNOW FRENCH. NOW COME WITH US BEFORE I KICK YOUR ASS."
"... Je vais le faire. Au-revoir, Madame Mushuno!" She stood up and left. They all walked away from the door before they got in trouble.
"Where would we find Rockii?" Asked Tanoshii.
"She's always underneath the auditorium stairs." Said Ponia, leading them. They got there and it was dead silent.
"Rockii, I know you're here!"
"..."
"Hey edgelord, your favourite colourblind music making French-speaking person is here!"
"..."
"Can you come out please?"
"... Why are you here?"
"Because we want you in our band!"
"... Fine." She came out from under the stairs and revealed herself.
"Rockii, welcome to the crew!" Said Tanoshii.
"... Hi." She looked at the ground nervously.
"So who's next, Tanoshii?" Asked Ponia.
"Hina Dansuba."
"... She's on the roof." Said Rockii. They went up and she had a chocolate bar, sitting down and out of breath from something.
"Hina Hina ballerina! We need you for our band!" Said Tanoshii.
"Oh, sure! Just give me a minute, I was dancing to a fast song and I can't really breathe!" They waited for her to catch her breath, and she stood up.
"Okay, I'm ready!"
"Great! The last person we need is Psychedeli." Explained Tanoshii.
"Oh, she'll be hard to find. Let's hope she's lying on the floor with headphones on." Said Classica.
"She always does that in the spare room, so let's check there." Said Hina. They all walked to the spare room and she was lying on the floor staring upwards. She was zoned out.
"Hey Psychedeli! Can you join our band?" Asked Tanoshii. She didn't respond.
"Her brain is numb, she can't hear you right now." Said Hina, pulling off her headphones. She snapped back to reality.
"Oh. Hey guys." She said.
"Hey, wanna join our band?" Asked Tanoshii.
"Oh, okay." She stood up (with Hina's help) and they all went to a practice room by the music area.
