Life has always been bright and easy for other people, but not for Erica Gozon. She lost her mom after she was born and never got the chance to see her nor feel her presence. She's longing for a mother's carebut thankfully, her dad was able to fill in the gap that her mom left. Her dad has been single for 7 years and eventually, he found someone and decided to remarry. Erica is happy for her dad and herself because she can now have someone to call mom, someone who'll take care of her in a motherly way and someone who'll guide her to become a fine lady.
But then, her expectations didn't go well according to what she expected it to be. Her stepmom doesn't treat her right. She treats her as if she is a slave. Erica told her dad about this matter but her dad didn't lend an ear instead, her dad scolded her for speaking ill of her stepmom. She feel so betrayed and heartbroken.
That's when Erica decided to move out, rent an apartment, applied for a part-time job, and continued studying. Despite of the fact that she moved out, her dad still sends her money for her needs and wants but Erica knows for herself that financial support isn't what she need. It is a family.
