Hotch POV
I walked into the bau thinking it was going to be a normal busy day but as always there has to be a quiet day every now and then I saw Spencer at his desk reading as usual
"Hey pretty boy" i said he looked up at me weird as if I have never said that before.. weird.. "did you just call me pretty boy?" Why is Spencer so confused it's not the first time I've said it "yeah? Why you now have a problem with it?" I didn't mean to sound so harsh but it was weird he was acting as if we weren't close "it's just you never call me pretty boy. So I was a little confused" I looked at him as if he was crazy and walked away I decided to go to PGs bat cave and hang there for a bit
Spencer's POV
Weird. I look over at Emily and JJ who have been here the whole time "did Hotch just call me pretty boy?" I ask them a little confuse and see that JJ and Emily are both confused as well Emily then starts to speak but is interrupted by Morgan walking in "be on the jet in 5 we will brief there" I watch as he leaves while talking I look back at Emily and JJ who look concerned and confused at the same time "did he.. sound different to you?" I ask the two blond girls Emily starts to talk before she's rudely interrupted by Hotch "hey do you guys know why Morgan's in such a bad mood today?" I look at Hotch confused he seems.. happy? Now I'm a little concerned "Hotch are you feeling alright you don't seem like your usual self"
Hotch POV
Why would reid ask me that ofc I'm fine I look at him weirdly before replying "yeah I'm fine why" "no reason" he responds weird "anyways we have to be in the jet in 2 so see you all there" I walk to the elevator with my bag meeting up with Derek he looks at me and hands me $5 "I didn't think we'd be able to pull this off" I look at him and take the $5 "it's not that hard when you've been working with the same people for more then three years" he looks down and laughs a little
Derek POV
Being in the elevator with Hotch made me realize he's not as struck or uptight as everyone thinks he is considering how his wife died and he's a single father "you know, you should try and be less uptight title make people less scared of you" i look at Hotch to see he looks like he wants to kill me but can't "Morgan I know you think I'm like this so people don't see how unhappy I am but I have to be strong for jack he just lost his mother" I look into Hotch's eyes they look so tired as if he's been crying him self to sleep at nigh.. "look man I know it's not easy Alright I just think if you where a little lest uptight the team wouldn't be as scared to come to you for stuff all I'm saying is try to smile and laugh more" the elevator dings and I'm the first to walk out I turn around to see hotch hesitating to get out he looks like he wants to say something but can't "hotch come on the teams waiting we where supposed to be there 3 minutes ago" he looks at his watch and walks out of the building at a fast pace almost jogging I follow behind him and we make it the jet just in time before it took off
No one's POV (I don't know what's it called😭)
The jet took off and the team just got done briefing the case now they still had about a 3 hour flight Morgan was sitting with Rossi while Hotch was sitting with Spencer and Emily and JJ took the seat next to Hotch and Spencer
