The car sits untouched for a few minutes, eventually being approached by a following car. The tires screech as they skid to a full stop. The doors open to show Dr. Loomis and another officer of the law.

Loomis runs to the wreckage, checking the back for Michael and looking around for him when he sees the slasher is missing. After a quick glance at the emptiness surrounding him he crouches and begins the work of pulling Sheriff Brackett out of the car, noting the subtle pulse with relief.

"Officer Mallard, please ensure Sheriff Brackett is taken care of, I'm going to carry on down the road. I have no doubt where Michael is heading. May I take your car? I wouldn't ask unless it was truly a life or death situation." Loomis asks.

Officer Mallard helps the doctor pull the sheriff out of the car and nods at his statement.

"Go ahead, but doctor.. please be careful. I don't want you getting hurt again." He calls the paramedics and waits for them to arrive to tend to Lee, watching as Dr. Loomis speeds off.

Loomis sighs and does one final look around, hoping desperately as he gets into the car that he's not leaving this officer and his comrade to a hidden Michael. He sits onto the driver's seat and revs the engine, tires screeching as he peals down the road, leaving a dust trail behind him. He stomps on the gas to ensure he gets to the hospital in record time.

Meanwhile Laurie awakens in the hospital, dressed in a small gown with multiple IVs in her arms, pain medicine muddeling her brain. She opens her eyes and responds slightly to the doctors questions, asking her about her friends and Loomis before settling back to rest, her fingers brushing the shaved part of her head where they had to put stitches from her fall from the Myers second story stairs.

Michael finally reaches the hospital. He's wet and cold from the rain and October air, but nonetheless, he made it. Now, all he had to do was get inside. He makes his way to the entrance door, only to find it locked. No problem, he simply punches the glass and reaches his arm inside to unlock the door. He grabs a random, sharp surgeon tool from a table and begins his search for Laurie.
