"So, before I dismissed our class, let me announce to you, students, that your quantitative research will be the main requirement for you to pass my subject."
"You will be permitted to have a partner to help each other."
"Moreover, by looking at your seatmate, you will know your partner in doing the quantitative research."
"Three proposed titles must be ready in our next meeting that is related to your strand. Are we all clear?" Professor Sheldon asked in a serious tone.
Echoes of 'yes' were heard before he left the room of grade 12 HUMSS, section Memoir.
Storm Carter's POV
As I heard the instruction of Professor Sheldon to us, I immediately peek at my seatmate which is Esther Simmons. Her face lies down in her armchair.
I can already distinguish that she is asleep before Professor Sheldon dismissed our class.
Ah, pain in the ass.
I could already imagine her shocked face when she hears the news that we will be doing our quantitative research as Professor Sheldon's requirement for us to pass his subject.
She will be more surprised knowing that I will be her partner.
I almost kicked her out of our group in qualitative research last school year. I was the leader so I have the right to.
"Nag-aambag naman ako pambili ng pancit canton natin, ah? Ako rin sumasagot ng mga printing expenses. So, where do you find the strength to kick me out in our group?" She shouted while pointing her finger in me.
I stared at her immensely. In deep thoughts about whether to keep her or report her to our PR subject teacher that she wasn't truly cooperating.
In the end, I still kept her. We still kept her. Our groupmates wanted to.
They were hypnotized by her carried food as well as answered expenses. While our treatment with each other looked like Tom 'n Jerry.
Until now, we looked like Tom and Jerry.
So, I just sighed before I tapped her annoyingly on the shoulders and take my route to the canteen.
Esther Simmons' POV
Ang ganda na sana ng panaginip ko kung hindi lang naistorbo no'ng may pumapalo sa balikat ko. Binuksan ko ang aking mata nang maramdaman kong tumatayo na mga kaklase ko.
Is our PR2 class was already finished? Alam ko bago ako makatulog, Professor Sheldon was still discussing the essence of quantitative research.
Does research is even important in our life? Sayang ang panahon kaka-research. Napaka-time consuming. At saka, mahalaga ba talaga?
I hate research. Muntik na ako hindi makapasa noong grade 11 dahil dito. Ni-wala nga rin akong natutuhan sa qualitative research namin last school year. Even our title is what I cannot remember. But, at least, may ambag ako sa grupo.
Sana huwag na kami pagawin ng quantitative research. Parehas lang naman iyon sa kung anong ginawa nakaraang school year. Base sa aking pagkakaalam.
"Hey, Esther! Ang swerte mo!" Mori exclaimed, pagkatayo ko sa aking inuupuan. My classmate and best friend since JHS.
"Huh? Bakit?" I asked her.
