I tried

As I wake up from my sleep to the sound of my alarm, I take a look at my phone and realize that somehow it stopped charging sometime during the night. As I utter the most heinous vulgarity known to man I get out of bed and re-plug my phone, making sure it's charging this time. I make my way to the kitchen. My cold feet slap against the tiles, making an awful sound to hear this early in the morning,

I never knew I liked coffee, but I realized that I have to start liking it if I want to fit in with the others. Not to mention the advantage of gaining faster consciousness after waking from my deep slumber. Pretty much all the mugs in the cabinet were mine. I got a nice white mug from the local church for some volunteer work I don't even remember doing. Not to mention the countless mugs I got for Christmas or for my birthday. As I look inside I pick out the obvious one: the white mug from the church. I place it under the machine and press the button. As the coffee machine loudly makes itself known to the entire block, I pace back to my room and make my bag. Since I haven't memorised my timetable yet, I unlock my phone and take a look at it. "Jesus Christ. Three German classes? Who the fuck made this timetable?" I say to myself. But really. Three German classes. With that bitch of a teacher? Pure torture.

After I finish packing my bag I return to the kitchen to find the coffee machine blinking red. I inspect it and after pressing the button again I presume there is something wrong and just turn it off. I scoff at the thought of drinking a half coffee, so I turn around and take the milk out of the fridge. I pour milk in my coffee and chug the whole thing, the taste of milk overpowering that of the coffee. While I make myself breakfast, my dad wakes up and comes into the kitchen.

We say good morning to each other and he steps towards the coffee machine. As I sat with my back to him, I heard him dismantle the contraption and suddenly the same loud noise blared through the apartment: he fixed it. I mentally curse whoever made the last coffee for not fixing the thing before leaving, however it doesn't matter anymore, since I won't drink a second coffee. After I finish breakfast, I leave to get dressed for the day.

I don't own particularly expensive clothing, but I do like to pick my own clothes, so that they fit my taste and I won't regret wearing them. Today I picked black jeans with a white T-Shirt, simple yet elegant and intriguing. I didn't want to spend my entire morning with staring at myself in the mirror, I figured I could do the same while brushing my teeth. In the bathroom, I press some toothpaste onto my electric toothbrush, and after thoroughly brushing my teeth, I use mouthwash to clean any crevice that I may have missed. As I reach for the mouthwash, I lick the roof of my mouth and I feel a burning pain, along with a metallic taste. I wonder what could that be, but I don't come to a conclusion, so I just drink the mouthwash. As it makes contact with my mouth, sharp and searing pain envelops my face. I stare emotionlessly at myself, as I swish the mouthwash around and finally spit it out. I use both deodorant and cologne, and I always put more than I should, just so people can smell it better. I would love to expand my morning routine with more expensive toothpaste and potentially some face creams, since my morning face is usually greasy because of my eating habits.

While stepping out of the bathroom, I hear my moms alarm, meaning she is awake. I turn around to my room and take my bag out to the hallway, along with my phone, but I can't seem to find my headphones. "Where the fuck did I put my headphones?" I wonder, as I pace around my room, rummaging through my stuff trying to find them. I finally manage to pull them out of a drawer and find out that they are almost dead. "Great. Just brilliant." I think to myself, as I plug them in.

My mom called me out to the kitchen, so I walk out of my room and as I step inside, my mom hands me my food for the day, just some simple sandwiches with a croissant. I pack my stuff and prepare to leave, but as I finish tying my shoes, I remember the headphones I totally forgot to take out of my room. I scoff, and step inside to get them. I say goodbye to my parents and take the house keys. While leaving the apartment, I get a message from my classmate Betty, saying that her dad will give us a ride to school, since it has been quite literally pissing down rain for three days in a row now.
