Part 34 - Thing One and Thing Two

~~~ FLASHBACK ~~~

"I've got eyes. Closing in. Southeast corner." Alexia begins moving towards the man until their eyes lock and he takes off in a dead sprint. "Package is on the run! Heading south on foot. I will lead him to the tunnel, meet us there with the car!" Chasing after him she breaks through the cracked window firing a round that goes straight through his shoulder but it barely slows him down.

Chasing him down the fire escape she jumps down aiming to land on him but just barely misses. Clawing her way back to her feet she takes off after him again, barreling through the people that didn't clear out from the sound of the gunshot. Tony and Syd are arguing about something on the other side of the comms but everything around her is too loud to clearly make out what they are saying. Probably not important, Tony's probably just complaining about wanting a new gun or a better room or something stupid while she does all the hard work. The narrow Lisbon streets made it hard for the man to shake Alexia, leading him down a back alley she stopped right before the tunnel. Once she has a clear shot, she takes it, hitting him right below the thigh. Unfortunately for him, orders were to get the package alive.

He lets out a bloodcurdling scream as the bullet tears through his knee. Shattering his kneecap as he falls to the ground. Owen and Tony come running around the corner. Owen leaped down on top of him, pulling his arms behind his back and pinning him down with his knee as he secures the cuffs to his wrists then forced him back up to his feet ignoring his cries of pain. It looks like she barks something in his ear but she can't hear him so she just watches as he shoves him into Tony's grasp then walks back and turns his attention to Alexia.

"Nice shot baby." Owen wraps his arm over her shoulders pulling her close and pressing a kiss to her head.

"Why, thank ya." She laughs leaning against him. They have been up for basically three days tracking this asshole all over the country. It seemed like every time they were within a couple clicks of the guy something would tip him off and send him running making them have to start the whole process over again. Alexia is exhausted.

"Sua cadela psicótica." You psychotic bitch. The man hisses trying to lunge at Alexia but is pulled back by Tony.

"Well, that isn't very gentlemanly of you. Besides, we could have avoided that if you had come peacefully instead of thinking you were a track star. That's on you buddy." She pulls her phone from her pocket holding the screen next to his face. "Mr...Martim Santiago, Martim? Really? Hmm." She tilts her head looking back and forth between the two.

"What?" He asks in a hopeful voice as if he thinks she believes she may have the wrong man.

"No, it's nothing, it's just, you seem more like a Jayme, or Tomas. I don't know, I just don't think Martim fits. I mean with that big ass forehead and it looks like you're hairline is leaving without out. But don't worry soon you can just say that you are taller than your hair." She raises her hand to her height then drops it a couple inches to meet his. "But not too tall." She pats him on the head. He tries to get free again but Tony just yanks him back once again. "I guess that's why you pick up a new identity in every city you go to." She nods her head to the black SUV pulling up.

Climbing in, Owen leans down so his hot breath washes over her skin. "What do you say, we have a go with those handcuffs ourselves tonight?" 

Alexia feels her cheeks heating up as she presses her thighs together nodding her head. "Mhm." Owen has always refused to try anything like this and after the first few times when he shut her down and made her feel like a total freak she just completely stopped bringing it up. Figuring eventually she would get over the fantasies. So far it hasn't happened so the second he brought it up she had to refrain from telling the driver to go faster so they could dump Martim and get back to the hotel. Suddenly she doesn't feel quite so exhausted.
