Team RWBYS was on their way to Atlas via a LAAT. Jaune was at the pilot seat, he put it in autopilot so he can be looking at what he had gotten from his conquest of the battle of beacon quest.  Jaune had a pilot's outfit on too due it being protective against the cold as well it boosting his pilot skills.
