"Greyson Marie Lewis, if I hear another complaint out of your mouth, I swear, I will give the throne to your sister!" His royal highness shouted to their 'charming' son, who proceeded to slam his bedroom door on both his father and mother. Greyson's father, James, slumped into his armchair with a heavy sigh. "What are we going to do with that boy..." he huffed. The mother, Maryann, did a small walk toward her tired, frustrated husband, giving him a comforting peck on the cheek. "He's a growing boy, darling," she used as an excuse. "This is some big news for him, and you know he doesn't handle new things well. Remember when we brought the baby home years back, how he acted?"
"Oh, I remember. In fact, how could I forget?" James began, getting out of his chair. "The boy didn't eat for days and came at her with a fork, even. See, that's exactly why I'm stressed! I don't want him pulling stunts like that in front of the guests." Maryann could only nod in response, finding no reason to start any conflict over such a silly topic. Meanwhile, their son, Greyson was upstairs throwing a temper tantrum. Not only did he hate the company, but he wasn't at all prepared for any royal company. The Wettens family would be staying for a while to discuss and work out some 'business'. The family was a very welcoming and successful line of royals, and as it ran in the bloodline, their son was also gifted with such generosity. Oscar Wetten was a plump little man and was known as the family jewel; not only because he was the oldest, but because he set a prime example of what a 'golden child' really was. Neither Oscar nor Greyson were prepared for the events that would happen after the Wettens' arrival. The Lewis family was just about prepared for their arrival. The Wettens, that is. For the staff, it was quite nerve-racking. They moved furniture and swept and mopped and polished every tip-top of the palace; quite well, too. But not everyone was excited about their guests.
Greyson Lewis was the most bitter and greedy of their royal family, and at the moment was sulking in his self-pity and hatred toward these guests he hadn't met yet. He was a tall, slender boy with raven black hair, falling to his upper back in spikey wisps. Though their family was supposed to resemble kindness and stability, he lacked every aspect of it. Greyson enjoyed seeing the peasants in their kingdom suffer and plead at the rich's feet, begging for scraps of their food and pocket change. He even enjoyed watching the public executions from his balcony, grinning as the felon was hung or even decapitated. Overall, he resembled nothing of his family; mentally. Since their guests hadn't arrived just yet, Greyson decided to spend his time in the library, browsing the wide selection of old and large books that seemed to haven't been handled in years. The air in the library was thick and muggy, and the smell of damp paper filled the open spaces. Though this seems to be a rather unpleasant place, it was his favorite room in the palace. While he was a rude and stuck-up boy, who seemed to have no heart, he had a soft spot for the quiet, empty library.
