(I've decided to stay in third person POV as it is easier to write but there with be some of the characters POVs still in this book)

The next morning Ella headed down to the common room to find it almost empty, apart from a few first years up waiting for breakfast to start. She headed over to the sofa, grabbing a random book on the way, and sat down to wait for her friends.

Nearly half an hour later, Ella heard footsteps coming down from the boys dorms. Turning her head to the left to see Fred slowly coming down, rubbing the sleep from his eyes.

"Morning" he said while letting out a yawn, "morning how did you sleep" she asked. He shrugged his shoulders, "alright I guess, still tired though." Ella nodded her head in response, turning her head back to the burnt out fire as he sat down next to her on the sofa.

They sat there in silence for a few minutes before Ella pipped up. "So what's going on with you and Alice then" she said with a smirk on her face, looking ahead with the often slight glance at Fred.

Fred whipped his head towards her as his eyes went wide and felt slight blush creep up into his cheeks. "W-what nothings going on between me and Alice, what would make you think that. I mean come on me and her as if," he said quickly with an awkward laugh at the end.

This made Ella laugh slightly as she looked at him and spoke again "I see the way you two look at each other." Fred looked away from her, the blush on his cheeks getting more visible by the second "what look there's no look" he said, making Ella giggle more as she shook her head. "If anyone has a look between them" Fred began again "it's you and Thomas."

Ella's head snapped towards him with wide eyes. She punched him lightly in arm. He put a hurt face on and place his hand over his heart. After a few seconds they burst out laughing not hearing Alice coming down from the dorm. "What's so funny" said a voice from behind them. Quickly, they turned around to see a smiling, yet confused Alice. "Oh err nothing don't worry about it" Fred replied quickly, "okay then if you say so" she said back, furrowing her eyebrows.

A little while later James wondered down stairs, looking exhausted. He rubbed his eye and gave a big yawn and sat down on the sofa next to Ella; leaning back and closing his eyes. "You alright Jimmy" Ella said with a small giggle. "Mmm tired" was all he said back making them all, minus James, laugh quietly.

Ella lent back into the sofa to get more comfortable as she waited for breakfast to start. Her shoulder became suddenly heavy. She looked to her side to see James's head laying on it as he drifted of back to sleep.

Ella turned to look back at Fred and Alice when she saw another figure coming down the stairs. Thomas Wood. Her eyes went wide as she stood up quickly, knocking James's head off her shoulder, and rushed over to meet him at the bottom of the stairs. She knew she may have seemed a bit petty and stupid, but she couldn't help her self falling for him more and more everyday.

James rubbed his chin where he hit it on Ella's shoulder as she stood up. He looked over to where she ran off to, only to see her talking to none other than Thomas Wood. All James could do was frown at the sight of his best friend enjoying the company of another guy. He turned to face the fireplace. James started think about his best friend and how she's getting closer with Thomas.

What if he takes her away from me, from the group what would we do? We would loose her, I would loose her he thought.

He didn't have more time to think on the subject, as breakfast had started.

Ella ran back over to her friend with a huge smile on her face. "Someone's happy" Fred teased. Ella just rolled her eyes at her friends comment and switched the conversation asking if they should go down to breakfast now. They all nodded in response and started heading down while making small talk.

They got down to the great hall and sat down in there usual seats and began to grab food like they hadn't eaten in days. As they are in silence being engulfed by their own thoughts, there was one thing that was on all of there minds. The Corridor.

Ella felt like speaking up about it as she knew they were all thinking about. How could they not? They nearly went deaf from going down there, but strangely she wanted to go back.

She wanted to find out what Meade there ears bleed, what made them scream in pain and what James had found. Just as she opened her mouth and was about to speak, James got there first. "So are we just not going to talk about yesterday?" He questioned looking at his plate, as he pushed his food around. " I was just about to ask the same thing"Ella said, "well I personally want to go back down there to find out more about it" she continued.

Alice's eyes went wind as she shot her head up. "I don't. I hated it down there my ears still hurt" she said quickly. "I agree with Alice on this one" James spoke again. "Well I agree with Ella to find out more about what the hell was making us go deaf." Fred said with a mouth full of food. n looked at him with discuss and looked back at James. "Come on James don't you want to know what you found because I do" Ella pleaded James. Still looking down with his fork in hand still pushing the food on his plate around, he answered her. "It was a door" he said simply. "Don't you want to o ow what's behind it?" Ella asked with wide eyes. "Nope" was all he said and with that stood up and left the great hall. "Where the hell is he going" Fred said confused. "I have no idea" Ella said as she put her head in her hands.
