Part 1 culture.

The Bokuden Shogunate ruled by a humanlike fox species called the Kitsunese who's culture is similar to that of the Japanese culture from the Edo and Sengoku Jidai periods.

Kitsunese where clothing similar to Japanese clothing from the edo period such as Kanmuri, Tarikubi, Hakama, kosode, Junihitoe, sashinuki, monpe, Akome, Dobuku, hikinoshi, hitatare, Hitoe, hoeki no ho, jikitotsu, kachie, Juban, jinbaori, Kariginu, kataginu, kyutai, oguchi, okatabira, sashiko, sashinuki, soken, suikan, shitagasane, tattsuke-bakama, furisode, yoroi hitatare, junihitoe, yukata, samue, obiage, nagajuban, geta and zori shoes, maekake, jinbei, happi, tanzen, michiyuki, aikidogi, kendogi and other edo period Japanese clothing.

the Kitsunese practice Japanese sports like Kendo, judo, kyudo and hold martial arts tournaments.

The Kitsunese are fond of playing board games most notably Sugoroku. (a board game similar to the Japanese Sugoroku game)

The Kitsunese art style is like the Japanese Yamato-e.

The Kitsunese have Kabuki theaters (which is similar to the Japanese Kabuki theaters) where some of the performers elaborate kumadori make-up and often-glamorous costumes and perform dance dramas with highly-stylized movements to convey meaning of the play to the audience, the Kabuki theater has a dynamic stage sets such as revolving platforms and trapdoors allow for the prompt changing of a scene or the appearance/disappearance of actors. Another specialty of the kabuki stage is a footbridge that leads through the audience, allowing for a dramatic entrance or exit. Ambiance is aided with live music performed using traditional instruments. These elements combine to produce a visually stunning and captivating performance, the Plots are usually based on historical events, warm hearted dramas, moral conflicts, love stories, tales of tragedy of conspiracy, or other well-known stories. A unique feature of a kabuki performance is that what is on show is often only part of an entire story (usually the best part). Therefore, to enhance the enjoyment derived, it would be good to read a little about the story before attending the show at the Kabuki theater.

The Kitsunese handwriting and written language is similar to the Japanese handwriting and written language.

The Kitsunese view their tales as an representation of their cultural identity and their honor.

The Kitsunese social convention is the bos, a Kitsunese would bow when they say hello, goodbye, thank your or sorry, bowing in Kitsunese culture is a term of respect, remorse, gratitude and greeting.

The Kitsunese have a strict and rigid merit based caste system where unlike the other caste systems that were based on birth, the Kitsunese caste system centers itself around merit and skill, Kitsunese young at the age of five are enrolled in special caste assignment schools called Merittosukuru where for the next fifteen years the Kitsunese are educated and examined for which caste best suited their talents, strengths, and skills, the counselors at the Merittosukuru are called Merrito kyoshi who oversee the training and education of the Kitsunese young in multiple fields of occupation in order to best determine which caste they would best perform in, once a caste has been assigned the Kitsunese young, they are then educated about the subcategory castes within their assigned caste called subcastes and are trained to see which subcaste of their assigned caste would best perform in, once they finish their fifteen years enrollment at the Merittosukuru and reached the age of twenty, they sent to their assigned caste and subcaste where they are expected to serve and fulfill their caste duties for the rest of their lives.
