Three women were suspected of committing series of horrifying murders. Ashley Patterson is an elegant woman yet haunted with a subtle attractiveness. She always fear that someone is following her. Toni Prescott is the exact opposite if Ashley Patterson. She is an outgoing singer, vivacious and daring. She dressed conservatively during the day but at night, she had donned miniskirt and disco gear. Alette Peters is a lovely shy artist with a strong Italian accent. The three women both worked in Global Computer Graphics and were suspected of committing a series of horrifying murders.
Toni dislikes Ashley for being Ms. Goody Two-Shoes who doesn’t know how to have fun but she maintained a good friendship between Alette. Ashley is convinced that she is being stalked and tries desperately not to panic but lately her sleeps had been filled with nightmares. There comes Dennis Tibble, Ashley’s former suitor who was once obsessed and fixated on her asked for her help and some advice about a girl she’s been dating. At first, Ashley hesitated but later agreed thinking that if she could help Dennis, he would already leave her alone. At Dennis’ place, Dennis offered her a drink and after that, time seemed to vanish in mist to Ashley. The next thing she knew, she woke up in a hotel in Chicago without any idea how she got there. When she returned to San Francisco she was shocked by the news that the police found Dennis Tibble’s body in his apartment, stabbed to death and castrated.
Toni became a penchant for Internet chat met his chat mate Jean Claude Parent in Quebec during the computer convention. Jean Claude took her on a tour and gave her an emerald ring as a gift. Later that evening, Jean Claude Parent was found dead and like Dennis Tibble’s case, castrated. Toni became a suspect but the police found no legal files about her. Days after their return from Quebec to San Francisco, Alette start seeing her new friend Richard Melton who shared the same passion as her in painting. After seeing Alette, Richard was found dead with multiple stab and castration. Findings show that the murders are interconnected and victims were having sex before being murdered. It was also discovered that another same case happened years ago in Bedford to a guy named Jim Cleary who happened to be Ashley’s boyfriend who didn’t show up when they planned to run away and Ashley Patterson happened to be in the same places where the murders occurred.
Ashley was interrogated and obliged to take a polygraph test but the result were all positive removing her from the list of suspects. When she returned to her apartment, she found out that someone scrawled in bright red lipstick the word “YOU WILL DIE” in her bathroom mirror. She immediately called the police and asked Deputy Sam Blake to escort her. The next morning, Sam Blake was found dead and castrated. The police found the knife used to kill the officer in Ashley’s kitchen sink and a gift from one of the victim given to Toni from her things. Ashley was arrested and her DNA matched with the serial killer’s. FBI found out that the three suspects...Ashley Patterson, Toni Prescott and Alette Peters were all the same person.
Dr. Steven Patterson, Ashley’s father and a famous doctor persuaded a lawyer Atty. David Singer to take her daughter’s case in payment for the lawyer’s debt for saving his mother’s life. Atty. Singer interrogated Ashley and was convinced by her innocence not until he saw the evidences against Ashley. The lawyer confronted Ashley for lying but it seems that Ashley really believes that she has nothing to do with the crimes so he decided to bring a psychiatrist to check her. With the help of Dr. Salem, Ashley was put under hypnosis and was found out to be suffering from a multiple personality disorder having Toni Prescott and Alette Peters as her alters without her knowledge. When the trial begins Atty. Singer pleaded not guilty for the reason of insanity for Ashley’s case but the trial didn’t go well for the lawyer, even experts have an argument regarding the existence of such disorder. At the end of the trial Ashley is sentenced guilty and was given a death sentence but at the last minute Atty. Singer was able to present new evidence that such alters of Ashley does exist and Toni is the one responsible for all the crimes changing the court’s decision. Ashley was convicted in a psychiatrist hospital in Connecticut to undergo treatment.
As the treatment goes, Ashley’s doctor, Dr. Gilbert Keller became attracted to her. Soon, the doctor discovered the cause of the birth of Ashley's two alters and found out that Ashley’s father sexually harassed her when she was six years old that leads to the birth of Toni in London. When Ashley turned eight, her family moved to Rome and his father sexually harassed her again and came every night. Ashley wasn’t able to take the pain, erasing her memories about the painful experience and creating other self. They later discovered that underneath Toni’s harsh personality and murderous action is a protective instinct toward Ashley and Alette. The men murdered by Toni sexually harrased them forcing Toni to kill them. At the end, Ashley, Toni and Alette were able to overcome their hatred toward their father making them free. Ashley was able to accept her other selves and together with Toni and Alette they become one again. Ashley was cured and released and was able to live normally.
