The sun had set, and Mondstadt's busiest tavern, 'The Angels Share' was as busy as ever. Kaeya had invited Dainsleif to drink with him tonight.. but oh dear he did not know what he was in for. Dain and Kaeya were sat on the seats at the counter, a lot of people whispering about the 'odd' pairing. "'Luc! Another Death-after-Noon please!~" Kaeya loved a lot of alcoholic beverages, however he favourited this one. It was a mix of sparkling white wine and the ever so loved dandelion wine, probably why he enjoyed it so much.

"Dain, would you like anything?" He smiled. Dain absolutely adored Kaeya's smile, however it always made him feel.. well, he doesn't know. "I'll have the same as you, i suppose." That would be later considered his biggest mistake.

A few moments later, the red-headed bartender slid two wine-filled glasses slowly towards the two. "Don't get too drunk, Alberich." "Oh come now Diluc, I'm not that bad!" After that, the bartender sighed and walked away to tend to other things. Dain had always wondered what had happened between Kaeya and Diluc as they seemed rather distant, however he couldn't find it in himself to ask about it.

Kaeya took a small sip of his drink to begin with. "Ah!~ Refreshing as always. Try it, Dain." He gave a smile to the blonde, Dainsleif was never really one for drinking, he just hoped he wouldn't get drunk. "Sure, alright.." And with that, Dain also took a small sip of his drink. He found the drink surprisingly nice, taking another sip. Kaeya chuckled at the blonde. "I take it you like it then, hm, Dain?" Dainsleif nodded. "It has a very nice flavor." Knowing that Dain was alright with his drink, Kaeya continued drinking his own, almost completely downing it in one..

After about two hours, they were still in the tavern, Kaeya's drinking buddy, Venti, had arrived which was probably why he stayed the whole time. Dainsleif didn't particularly like Venti, however he just had to deal with it. Kaeya had drunk much more than Dain, however still wasnt completely drunk. Sure, perhaps a little tipsy, but overall he wasnt that bad. Dainsleif on the other hand, couldn't hold his alcohol as well as Kaeya.. he was fairly drunk by this stage.

Kaeya and Venti were messing around, telling each other silly things. They had been chattinc so much between themselves they didnt notice how drunk poor Dain was beside them. Kaeya eventually had turned to face Dain... Oh. Kaeya couldn't help but staring at Dain, his eyes almost half-lidded, his cheeks slightly flushed, his lips slightly parted.. Wait wait wait, what? Anyway.. of course Venti caught notice of Kaeyas staring, so he had snuck away to entertain the other drunkards in the tavern with his songs! He didn't wanna third wheel..

After a few minutes, Kaeya just noticed he had been staring, when he turned and saw Venti performing for the drunks, he couldn't help but feel a bit embarrassed.. "Done stA-hic-RinG?" Kaeya immediately turned back to Dainsleif, locking eyes with the blonde. He didn't give an answer, he honestly didn't know what to say back. "answer me.. -hic-..Kae." Dain leaned forward towards Kaeya, they were getting a bit close, perhaps too close. Kaeya could feel the heat of Dain's breathe on his own face. He blushed ever so slightly, still not knowing how to react. Dainsleif when drunk was like a whole new person to him.

"Kae~.. I don't wanna go back yet..!" Another hour had passed, and as Dain was more drunk than he was previously somehow, Kaeya decided to take him to his place. He was carrying Dain bridal style through the empty streets of Mondstadt, oh archons was he lucky it was empty. On the way back to Kaeya's home, Dainsleif kept whining. "I already told you, tavern is closed now.."
After a lot of whining, they eventually reached Kaeya's home, he had to put Dainsleif down to unlock the door but Dain had stayed put, luckily. "On you go." Kaeya had held the door opened for Dain. Dainsleif gave a low 'thank you' before entering.

Kaeya had led Dain to his room, giving him more comfortable clothes to sleep in since Dain had asked. Kaeya went to leave so that Dain could change, however he got pulled back before he could even step forward.
Kaeya had shut his eye(s) after he got pulled back, he felt himself laying on the bed, so he felt he was fine to open them again. He was quite shocked when he did, Dain was practically on top of him, their chests almost touching and their faces extremely close. "Stay." Kaeya was very shocked by Dain's actions, however he just laughed it off to try hiding his own feelings.. wait- did he like Dain..?
"Oh.. Uh- alright.." He was blushing quite a bit, he couldn't help it. Dain was absolutely gorgeous, and on top of him.. Kaeya truly felt like he could pass away any minute now.

Dainsleif took Kaeya's hands and pinned them above his head, and Kaeya freaked out big time. "U-uh.. Dain?-" He could care less about the stutter, he was getting quite nervous.. Dainsleif stared down at Kaeya for a few minutes, admiring everything about him, before he got a bit closer. Kaeya was internally panicking, not a bad panic, but a total gay panic! Dainsleif hadn't said anything, Kaeya was getting a bit worried before.. "I love you, Kae." ..Kaeyas eyes widened at the sudden and random confession. He was trying to think of something to say, however his mind went completely blank when he felt Dain's soft, warm lips on his own. The kiss lasted probably a few minutes before Dain pulled away, he rested his head on Kaeya's chest after and quickly drifted off to sleep as if nothing happened.

Kaeya was having a gay panic, Dain just.. kissed him..?! Oh, right. Dain was drunk, it probably didn't mean anything.. he sighed. "I love you too, my dear knight."
