"A woman being able to cook everything is a stereotype!"

A nod.

"Look at Cassia! Can't cook in over 40 years to save her life!"

Another nod.

"Shush! No need for hurtful words!" Cassia argued back, which earned both girls another nod from the tiny figure in front of them. Perseus sat obediently in front of them with his knees tucked underneath him standing up start.

"But, on the hunt cooking is an important skill set. Which is why we don't let Cassia leave on her own." Amara said.

"I'm leaving!" Cassia said.

"No! Don't go!" Perseus shouted almost standing up before realizing and sitting back down. "Sorry, I should not have had the outburst."

"Nonsense! What outburst? You simply do not want to see your sister leave. Disgustingly sweet. Other men would've had it 100 times louder and more dramatic." Amara assured.

"But...I'm not like them. Am I?"

"You are my child," Artemis said ing up, Cassia and Amara saluted before stepping back. "By what standards are you like any of them."

"Yes, mother!" Perseus exclaimed bowing his head but there was a warmness in his heart.

"Perseus, come walk with me," Artemis said. They were on a small island that seemed endless. To the outside world, it was nothing but a couple of meters of land. But enhanced since the ancient times for Artemis, it was nothing short of a beautiful island. Endless supplies of fruit and wild animals and freshwater streams which no god had control of yet because it was hidden away from even them.

Perseus was only seven years old at this time, meaning Artemis's illusion form with him had grown seven years as well. Huntresses will stop by every other week taking shifts to teach Perseus. Artemis often found it amusing. But Perseus had grown up taking in every lesson as much as he can with his ADHD. They were all very pleased with themselves, to say the least. Sometimes he would be shy, but then there would be a burst of energy and he was the loudest and happiest child on earth.

"I have another lesson I want to teach," Artemis said. "Males can be arrogant."

"Arrogant?"

"Thinking they are better than everyone else."

"Lousy."

"Agreed. As I was saying." Artemis continued. "Once there was a man. A man Zoe trusted. She helped him with his trials. Risked her life and immortality with her birth family for him. And what did she get in return? Nothing. It wasn't until she found us that she found comfort again. A trusted lieutenant she became."

"He did that?!" Percy gasped. "Zoe is the best sister! Who would do that to her?!"

"Males my dear Perseus." Artemis sighed. "All of them are tainted by the world around them. But you, know that you are not just an accomplishment. Know that you are the place for a new huntress, your age, to be able to trust us. A pearl in a sea of pebbles that is mankind. Most importantly, my son who I raised. I raised many hunters but as sisters, certainly never a male as a son, it truly was a new experience."

"Thank you, mother."

"Oh child," Artemis said as they stopped. "One day you shall be exposed to the world of man, and we can only prepare you for it in words. Only know, with the troubles you face me and your sisters will be there beside you."

"I believe you!"

"Good, how about today?" Artemis responded calmly.

"Today?!"
