Mrs. Moonshine's Affair (Ongoing)

[🌸] a lovely start.

Melody was lying in bed at night, where her lover, Felix, was sleeping besides her. she couldn't start to think about what she could do. She felt happy, knowing her life is getting together really well. No bad things happened to her so far. So what would possibly make her have a rough time, during relationship? She couldn't think too hard on her future, so she shrugged it off and went back to sleep.

The next morning, she wakes up. She immediately realized what day it is. It's not a special holiday, but it was a saturday. A good time for her to start practicing her music. She wasn't that much of a musician, since her skills have always been not the best, ever since she was 14. She looked beside her to see the smaller male sleeping. She blushes slightly, to see her lover being in peace while taking a nap.

She gets out of bed to get her Lyre. She slightly opens the door to see the outside being quiet as usual. She always woke up early. Earlier than others. Melody then walks to the forest, where she usually practices. Melody played her favorite song as usual. And, to be surprised, she never hit a wrong note. Then, she felt joy. "See, mom!? I knew I was going to be successful!" Melody said to herself.

She then packs her Lyre away, and walks around. The apples have fully grown, and the Fun Faire's carousel repair is now fixed. She remembered she saw that the Carousel flew too high, and collided with the Ferris Wheel. She walks into the Fun Faire, to see only Baylee there.

"Heya Mel!" Baylee said, as she waved at her like she was interested in talking to her. "Oh, Hi Baylee!" The other girl replied. Baylee walks up to Melody, and shows her a new installment that's going to be in the Fun Faire. "Check it out!" Baylee enthusiastically said, showing Melody a little doodle she made. "Oh wow! Is that a Mirror room?" Baylee nodded at the question. "You're my best friend, so that's why I'm showing you early!"

Melody smiled. Baylee was her closest friend, and was once her 'girlfriend.' They used to fake being together, to have the school bully leave Baylee alone while he's near her. Nobody knows what he did to her that made Melody protective of Baylee, but just know it involved something very awful. No blood shed, but Baylee Honeybee still felt horrible that day.

Baylee folds the paper into sixteenths again, and has a question to ask her Moonlit friend. "So how's Felix doing?" She asks the younger female. "Oh, he's doing okay. Just a bit more sleepy, that's all!" She answered. Baylee sits down on one of the booths. "Well, that's good to hear! Just making sure nothing bad would happen."

Melody felt a cold chill. "Wait, what do you mean something bad??" Baylee tilts her head as a Sign of confusion.  "Wait, you WANT something to happen?" Baylee asked, having one of her hands hold her cheek. "N-No no!! I just thought you said something was going to happen, that's all!" Melody stutters as she said that. Baylee took a breath, and tried to explain something to Melody about relationships.

"Listen, Mel. Relationships like what you're having may be good right now, but at some point, at least one thing will go wrong. Not every relationship can be perfect. in fact; No relationship is ever perfect. That one lovey dovey couple everyone sees at least once in their lives may have gone through something horrible." Baylee explained to Melody. She understood every word Baylee said.

Now, Melody felt encouraged to keep being with her dear, No matter what goes wrong. She hugs Baylee. It was the first time they ever done so in years. "Thank you, Baylee! I'll keep that in mind!" She said while walking away, waving Baylee goodbye. Baylee waved back. While Melody walks away, Baylee thinks to herself. Okay, I know she's just my friend. But when I was... Ahem, 'together' with her, I felt as though I actually loved her. And I STILL have that feeling. If she ends up breaking up with Felix, I'd be happy to be with her.

Baylee felt as though she was becoming Jealous of Felix. She really liked Melody, but she couldn't ruin the relationship even if it was meant to just call Melody her love. Even though Baylee had such strong feelings, she'd never, in her entire life, Ruin what precious bond Melody had with Felix. She clenched her fists. Not in Anger, but in a way she's trying to hold away what she fears she'll do.

Melody got back from that Talk with Baylee. At the same time, Felix finally woke up. "o...oh... heya mel...." He tiredly said, putting his head on her shoulder, like he's still tired. "Heh, Morning Felix... Hadn't had the best nap now, did ya?" She teasingly said while petting Felix's head. Felix cuddles up to Melody.

"Looovee.... I miss youuu...." He told her. Melody gives Felix a kiss on the forehead. "Don't worry, I'll never go anywhere outside the Apple farm without your permission, love. I promise." Melody assured Felix. The smaller Male laid back on the bed, and started to drift off into sleep again. He curled up into a ball, and held his Andy plushie. Melody laid down next to him, to be by his side whenever he has nightmares.

Melody spoons Felix by wrapping her arms around him. He gets comfortable, And scoots closer to her.   Comfortable.. She's the most loving gal I've ever met. I'm sure this day will be extra nice! Felix thought in his own head. He then drifts off to sleep, and so does his dear Melody. Hoping that nothing will go wrong. Of course, nothing will EVER go wrong... Right?

Unless they both jinxed themselves.

(Author's note: THIS IS A LONG ASS CHAPTER WHAT THE FUCK... Over 1,000 words. Hadn't made that accomplishment ever since that one fanfiction on AO3! god damn, we're on 1,034 words now. Hopefully next chapter will be longer! Get ready to get destroyed! Or not.your decision.)
