Jay’s POV
“What?!” I ask, as I look up to see Rheanna staring at me.
“Please, Jay, just understand what everyone is going through” she tells me.
“What are you talking about? All I said was that maybe Tom did kill someone, we don’t know what he’s capable of, do we?” I ask her. I don’t know why they are all making out that I’m the bad guy. I have the right to express my opinion and I’m not the one up for murder, am I? So why am I getting it in the neck?
“You’re just shocked. It’s understandable, but please, just calm down” Rheanna tells me, as she turns towards the living room door.
“So you’re trying to tell me that you haven’t noticed differences in Tom’s behaviour lately?” I ask, to which she turns around again.
“Well yeah, but he split up with Maria, so he’s bound to be upset” she says. “Look, I’m not going to discuss this. I know he’s innocent and you being his friend should know that too” she says, finally, before walking off into the living room.
“Whatever. I’m going to find Siva” I say, as I walk through the living room and out of the front door. This whole group is falling apart and I just don’t know if we will be able to hold it together for much longer. If the press get hold of Tom’s trial, that’s it. The band will be over and then what will we have? Nothing.
I walk over to my car, but just before I get inside, I notice a familiar looking man walking down the street with his hood up.
“Oi!” I yell after him. He turns around and smirks at me. I walk over to him, not knowing what to do.
“Long time, no see” he says, in a slow and creepy tone.
“What are you doing around here? I thought we agreed that you would take business elsewhere” I tell him.
“I have to be where the demand is” he shrugs, as he starts to walk again. I follow close behind him. “I have a customer to go and see, so if you wouldn’t mind, pissing off. That would be great” he tells me and I can see the anger bubbling in his eyes.
“No, you shouldn’t be around here, Norman. I warned you” I tell him.
“And what are you going to do about it?” he asks, as he turns around to face me. He grabs hold of my collar, with one fist clenched in front of my face. “Now fuck off” he says, as he lets go of me and walks off down the street. I decide to wait a couple of minutes, before going after him. I suppose the best idea would be for me to go and scare his customers off. After all, most of them just need a helping hand to get off the drugs. I watch as Norman walks off down the alley way, which is placed next to the local shops. It’s like his very own office. I make my way over and when I finally reach the alley way, I almost faint at the sight of who is with him.
“Shit!” Norman says, as he notices me standing in the opening. “What did I tell you?!” he asks, as he makes his way over to me. He grabs hold of my collar, before slamming me against the wall. “I warned you. I suppose I will just have to teach you a lesson now, won’t I?” he asks, as he reaches into his pocket. I watch as he pulls out a shiny blade. “Shit! Siva, help!” I yell, as Norman brings the blade up to my face.
“Well at least a nice scar will liven your cheek up a bit. Now keep still” he laughs.
“Please, don’t” I say and he just giggles, before pressing the blade against my skin. He pushes it down, breaking the skin slightly. He quickly pulls the blade from my skin and wipes the blood on my t-shirt, before throwing it back into his pocket and taking a step back.
