"Spencer I'm home!" I call out as I toss my keys in the pot. No answer. "Spencer?" I call out again. Then I hear crashing upstairs. "H-hang on!" I hear him call out stuttering and stumbling. I grab my gun and run upstairs. I search every room, except for the bathroom, and he isn't in any. I creep towards the bathroom and kick down the door.

When the door flings open I see Spencer holding a needle and a tiny bottle of clear liquid. No.... please no. "Spencer..." I gasp. Dilaudid. His hands shake and he tears up. I put my gun on the counter and walk over to him causing him to flinch.

"Baby can you give me the needle and the bottle?" I whisper. He shakes his head. "I c-can't..." He stutters backing away. "Why not, sweetheart?" I ask softly. "I need it." He mumbles. "No you don't honey. You don't need it." I soothe walking closer to him.

"It takes away the pain." He whimpers. "Only for a little bit Spencer. It won't take away all of your pain, only you can do that by getting through this. Now please, pretty boy, give me the needle and the bottle." I beg.

He shakily hands over the bottle and collapse on the floor crying. I empty the bottle down the sink and sit on the floor near Reid. "Pretty boy, can I hold you?" I ask softly. He nods and sobs his little heart out.

I slowly move next to him and brush his curls from his eyes. I pull him into my arms and he rests his head on my chest. "Spencer did you take any of it?" I ask quietly. He shakes his head. "Good. Well done for giving it to me. You're so brave Spencer, so brave." I soothe kissing his hair.

"Please." He begs. "No Spencer. No more drugs. It needs to stop. I'm going to be here every step of the way and we are going to do this together. I won't let you down." I vow. "Is there any more?" I whisper rocking him gently. He hesitates and shakes his head no. "Spencer, I'm a profiler, I know you're lying to me." I tell him sternly. "A-all over. There's some in m-my bed side cabinet, my s-sock draw, my cupboard in the bathroom and in my coat pockets." He stutters out.

I sigh. "Spencer, love, why didn't you tell me?" I ask frowning. "Because I knew you'd be disappointed a-and mad. I thought y-you'd leave
m-me." He admits blubbering. "I would never leave you! This isn't your fault okay? Remember that!" I tell him. "But it is! I'm too weak to resist the urges!" He sobs. "Don't you ever say that agin Spencer. Listen to me when I tell you it is not your fault. You were tortured and drugged. You went through hell but you couldn't do anything to stop it." I remind him.

"But, but!" He trembles, but I put my fingers to his lips shushing him. "We'll have none of that, darling." I coo. "Do you promise you don't have any in your system?" I ask. "Not from today." He whispers. "Good." I smile. "I love you so much Spencer. I don't know what I'd do without you." I frown kissing his head. "I love you too. More than you know." He whispers.
